Then you only "lose" about 1 second. If immediately after entering the cockpit you manually change the zoom and then press the 'no-zoom' button, this nasty auto-zooming stops. But it's nothing but a big, huge, pointless PITA. Every time someone tells what it is, but I forget it next day. Because still I can't see a good reason why we have that feature. And I don't understand why ED still doesn't give an option to enable/disable it to us! And if you suddenly got low FPS, you sit there for 10-15 seconds because the zooming feature was tied to framerate and it slowed even more the framerate. I think the idea was to have "cinema look entering"....
