Rawx Najjar Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 The line that extends from the center of the HUD when you're flying at low speed which shows the direction and speed in which you are moving, the thing useful for getting her in a hover, it disappears when the Shkval is uncaged. This prevents me from say, having the Shkval on a target while trying to stop moving and get in a hover while using the useful line indicator? Is there any other instrument like this that I'm missing? Forgive my ignorance but I've only been properly flying the Kamov for the last two days.
Necroscope Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 AFAIK there is no such lines as requested. But you can use ABRIS speed to check if you still moving, EyeBall MK-2 in ground mode and auto-hover mode to hold your position while targeting. Всех убью, один останусь!
Martillo1 Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Try to do your best to trim the aircraft in order to hover. However lateral winds will take you out of your desired heading. Not even Auto Hover can keep up with strong lateral winds. However, engaging Route mode while hovering properly trimmed is more effective. This is very useful when you have engaged Automatic turn on target. Vista, Suerte y al Toro! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Necroscope Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Tip: you still able to use trim in hover mode. Всех убью, один останусь!
Rogue Trooper Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 (edited) If you engage Auto Hover and are trimmed to hover then the HSI will show your drift when engaging targets... The drift is in reference to your initial Auto hover trimmed position. HSI is left of your Shkval screen. It will not tell you your speed but it will tell you whether all is well or not and the direction of drift, re trimming allows the auto hover to catch up some what.
