stelios2000 Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Hello all, after the last update does the "S" for Dis/en-able Steering wheels works for you? i have changed also the "S" to something else but nothing... Also when i press it i see that the lever moves( down the joystick) ... and when i move the rudder they moves and also from F2 camera but cannot turn... :helpsmilie::helpsmilie::helpsmilie: also after the last update at the keylist there isnt the key for the starter button that is underneath the red cover.... only the open/ close cover is available or is it me that i cannot find it ?:cry::cry:
Hook47 Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Hmmm. Have you tried running DCS Repair? Almost sounds like your update didn't go correctly
stelios2000 Posted March 8, 2016 Author Posted March 8, 2016 Hmmm. Have you tried running DCS Repair? Almost sounds like your update didn't go correctly and how do i do this ? thank you
nomdeplume Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 There should be a shortcut in the DCS program group in your start menu.
stelios2000 Posted March 8, 2016 Author Posted March 8, 2016 no... i have DCS world,nevada,world2 open alpha and open beta and all looks like this
stelios2000 Posted March 8, 2016 Author Posted March 8, 2016 This is not the Windows start menu... there isnt anything there too .......
Hook47 Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 there isnt anything there too ....... If I remember correctly (not at my PC now) DCS repair is under the /bin folder in your root directory. If you cannot find DCS repair anywhere in the game files then perhaps your install did not go correctly and you need a reinstall? It should be there for sure
nomdeplume Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 How did you install it? That path looks a little weird. Anyway, the Start menu programs are by default under Eagle Dynamics -> DCS World OpenBeta (or DCS World 2 OpenAlpha). If you really can't find them, you can make your own shortcuts. The repair runs: "...DCS\bin\DCS_updater.exe" repair The force update runs: "...DCS\bin\DCS_updater.exe" update The regular game launch runs the same program with no parameters, which means it'll do an update check once per day. They all have their working directory set to the main DCS path (i.e. excluding the \bin\ folder). Attached a screenshot of my shortcut properties in case that's easier to understand. You can also check out SkateZilla's detailed posts: Using DCS Updater to Update, Revert, Repair, or Install Modules.
stelios2000 Posted March 13, 2016 Author Posted March 13, 2016 (edited) i didnt know that and had a shortcut for dcs_updater everytime i wanted to play the game... so i cannot make any other update.... problem remains also what i noticed: if i press LATL+J and take over another mirage that is on the runway "S" works fine when a sec ago in my first plane didnt work Edited March 13, 2016 by stelios2000
