Yes, that is a defect. I suggest contacting TM but I seriously doubt they will do much of anything for you since it is such a minor cosmetic flaw.

Your other option is to return it to the vendor that you bought it from. However, I suspect that nearly every Warthog has minor flaws like that.

People bought them with faulty radios, leaking light, so that may not be the best example.

When I had to RMA my TM because of a bad coolie, they sent me back a unit with a bad throttle axis. I had to RMA the RMA.

Do you REALLY want to pay for shipping all that stuff over something that doesn't screw up functionality whatsoever?

Practice makes perfect.

OK, prepare yourself for much worse than that.

My Warthog stick is many years old now and the paint has worn off all over it. It's starting to look like a beat up relic from a real cockpit. I love it, looks super realistic.

Real aircraft cockpits of fighters and airliners are much used and generally look pretty rough.

Pilots don't pay 300 $ for their stick. And they use it in a much different manner.

IMHO if paint wears off from simple usage, that's not a sign of quality nor realism.

Mine has a similar defect in the same location, but more pronounced. It also looks like someone at TM was a little too aggressive sanding some of it off. Most of the time it looks like some dirt was in the seam when it was painted, and I don't notice it anyway, especially when using it. Returning it is not an option for me, since I got it second-hand non-working and repaired it, so it is not covered by any warranty. I probably wouldn't return it if it was covered, considering how I plan to modify/upgrade/abuse it and violate any warranty.

Thank you all for the answers excuse my English does not allow complex speeches. What I say, and 'this is true that in reality' shows normal wear and this' off duscusdione. But 'a new factory object of this value must be free from defects of this type even if only aesthetic. Any other new item with similar dufetti would be rejected by the customer, and this' out of the question and as' clear little accuracy in 'assembling devices by thrustmaster regarding this series.

But IVO has a point. If I bought a laptop, and there was a scratch on the palm rest - totally cosmetic - and the sales person said "meh...it's going to get scratched sooner or later..." I'd have a fit. Not apples and oranges since there isn't a salesman involved, and I'd be pissed at the lack of salesmanship more so than the scratch. But I get how he feels.

IVO, it comes down to this. Do you want to go through the RMA process based on the slight cosmetic defect? Especially if you don't know if the next one will have the same defect? So it's up to you, really.

Ok are in agreement with all of your thoughts probably I can not express myself. This is not to love or not to 'hotas, I had several months to gather enough money to buy it, so I wanted it for a long time. And 'the basic principle that it is not' correct, objects of this type may not present so 'marked defects. In the past I have bought dozens of devices without ever encounter so 'obvious defects. Then of course it depends on the sensitivity 'staff. However, if as you say you all these cosmetic defects are normal the same Thrustmaster should alert the buyer that given the particular metal processing this could be bad finish. I have seen videos on youtube and none had this defect. I hope I have expressed my thoughts by saying that this and 'was one of my most' beautiful purchases despite the bad finishing. (Thrustmaster improved the quality control department '), hello and a hug of heart
