The MiG-21 Paint kit is now available and can be found at the link below.

Apologies for the long time it's taken to get this to you all; but we wanted to

make sure the aircraft was final before torpedoing all of your hard work (and for those of you who made it without a kit, sorry anyways!)

The .PSDs are backwards compatible up to Photoshop CS6 (possibly lower, untested!)

Feel free to ask for assistance should you need it.

Works in the legal and free CS2 also!!! Altough you have to click away ALOT of errors. (I keep the enter key pressed)

THANKYOU!!!! :thumbup::thumbup:

Actually CS2 isn´t free.

On behalf of
Incorporated …

You have heard
wrong
! Adobe is absolutely
not
providing free copies of CS2!

What is true is that Adobe is terminating the activation servers for CS2 and that for
existing
licensed users of CS2 who need to reinstall their software, copies of CS2 that don’t require activation but do require valid serial numbers are available. (Special serial numbers are provided on the page for each product download.) See <

Sorry for getting your hopes up and adding to the confusion.

——————————-

You are only legally entitled to download and install with that serial number if you have a valid license to the product!

can anyone combine them into diff 01 psd and diff02 psd?

This is very inadvisable. Simply create your textures seperately, save them into BMPs, and then combine. It's a 30 second step at the end.

You will not be able to run an 8K PSD with the amount of layers (probably)

As I've mentioned before, the templates are not for the faint of heart. :D

Everything is setup to just add colors and call it a day.

What you can do is take an existing dds file, copy it to your skin folder, then load it into Photoshop next to your templates.

Then when you get the template the way you like it, Select All then Copy Merged and paste it into the dds. Then move the new pasted layer in the DDS to the proper corner and it should snap into place when it hits the edge. Repeat with the other templates.

Finally, flatten the image and save as BMP or DDS (no alpha channel).

copy ok so actually im overwriting the first dds file with mine

and then i put it in game by the lua script. But what about the edm file. do i need it for some reason ?

The edm included is for use with model viewer. Incase you need to make tiny adjustments for complex schemes.

It's UV is split up so the artist does not need to create an 8k texture every time an adjustment is made.

Hi guys thank you, but where is the

description.lua file which goes with that?

ALL the existing MIG 21 liveries in DCS 1.5.3 OR 2.02 have only

2 images and the description.lua, this template has 8!

ac5,

There is no description for a template. You must combine your textures after you have finished; then create your own lua.

Simply use another livery's lua and change the file(s) name as needed.
