To be correct, it is the Rift-S mode, through both AirLink and Oculus Link, which does not support hand tracking.

Ummm, you mean hand tracking is not supported over link? That is correct.

My Q2 does not have a rift-S mode.....

Hand tracking works over Link, it's just DCS has not support for it

That's cool. Never seen it, where can you use it?

I want to know too. If this is possible, I would like DCS to support it too.

I dont have any game that supports it, i think with the last update it works on Myst remake.

I made it recognize on DCS with OpenXR but i cant make it to interact with buttons, dont know if because its still on testing on OpenXR or my fault

Hey everyone,

Earlier we mentioned that we have been working on DCS VR optimization. I have good news today! After much investigation and work, we traced the issue back to the terrain engine. We have since adjusted the terrain engine, and this has resulted in a 50% increase in VR performance! We will continue to test and optimize this further, but we hope to have this great improvement to you soon.

Thanks

How is the latest situation of VR optimizations? Can we get an update on this?

Anyone else have problem with MT update & rift? As i wrote in other thread MT built seems to start with openxr only and that will cause worse performance at least for me.

Default beta exe works like should.

Ok. Did you run dcs with openxr before update?

I made a few tests in both ST and MT, and both OVR and OXR. No problems found. All modes changed through proper dcs.exe shortcuts with arguments.

How do you start MT with OVR?

Oh, you're right, just checked and it always starts OpenXR, no matter the arguments.

Yes it does and unfortunately openxr will run worse in my system for some reason.

Really? I thought the FAQs said it had to be called. How do you check.

Thats how it works with with normal EXE but with MT it always starts with openxr. Press CTRL+F2 in game to check (openxr settings menu will open).

dcs.log - search for Launch VR line. FAQ showed only example short syntax.

Fwiw both OXR and OVR work the same on my system in ST.
