Is there a chance we could see what ground targets look like via the A-10c tgt pod. Because as good as this looks if it makes it harder to spot via tgt pod i'm honestly torn on getting it.

Such a proposal seems to be essential

Amazing work Starway !

If it works with SweetFx (I can't play without it, same as with track-ir) I will buy it for sure ! If not.... I will stay on your free mods.

Look back a few pages. Starway has posted images through several aircrafts TGP including the A-10C.

I've used it for when I wanted to give older textures or older games more pop and clarity, but based on the screens of the old map next to Starway's work, it doesn't seem like SweetFx would be needed anymore. Just curious on what else SweetFx is used for I guess.

Also, I think that question got answered somewhere back in the first couple of pages, can't remember where though, possibly on the first two or three pages. A lot of pages to sort through already!

Starway, I apologize in advance if this has been answered back in the depths of the thread, I read through it all but didn't see anything about this.

You mention all building textures except airfield buildings have been revamped. I'm curious if ED is updating those textures when this map gets bumped to the new 2.0 build.

Without SweetFx the whole game is just blurry and greyish/faded to me (and most of my mates). Not only ground textures, planes, cockpits, sky, water, everything...

No timeline, but when the protection is in place, and testing is complete.

We can't draw any conclusions from this Sith???

There seems to have been a miscommunication about the projected release date. While we would ideally like to release on 6 May, it could very easily be late May depending on how the creation of the copy protection proceeds and testing.

Thanks

It doesn't matter when it will be released. At least those old textures will get some updates as long as we wait for the bigger stuff to be released. Anyway i guess the proper integration of third-party developements into the simulation seems not to be quite as easy as expected and may not be underestimated as well.

At this point, I can't tell for sure how much disk space is needed for installation due to the fact that ED is creating the final installation file. My workfile had about 1.7 GB. But it was with all the textures unzipped. Most of the textures have at least doubled dimensions now. This of course takes some space.

Regarding performance, as mentioned earlier in this thread, I have no performance hit on my system with this DLC.

Best,

SW

thanks for the infos, very helpful. digging around in my 1.5 installation, i guess this affects basically the "\Mods\terrains\CaucasusBase\vfstextures" folder? which is around 1.43GB, but with all the seasonal ground and buildings textures in ZIP archives.

i guess we will be able to correctly compare it, once the package is released.

just being curious about these kind of details. but at 10USD this is a very good offer either way.
