*SA342 BUG REPORTS*

Gazelle Mistral was unflyable yesterday. Was able to fly it for about 10 minutes and then DCS would crash to desktop.

Sent from my G3223 using Tapatalk

What version of DCS?

What mission?

Single player or Multiplayer?

Did you use scripting inside the Mission?

Do you have Mods installed?

Are there any log files (c:/*USERNAME*/saved games/logs)?

What did you do before the crash happened?

Does this happen with the Mistral Gazelle only?

What about other modules?

On a related note: Do you have the current, buggy Windows 10 update installed and timeline activated?

...and if you flew on the "Buddy Spike Server" ask the admin of that server, if he has scripts running and if the crash occurs for everyone or only you.

Also just had it crashed twice after playing the mistral version for ~20 minutes each.

Also on the 104th MP Server.

No Mods, logs attached.

This seems to be the culprit:

Great news. That likely fixes the damage difference. Thanks Pat.

European date convention: DD.MM.YYYY

So imperial date would be 12th of May in the year 2018 of the lord.

It's the same as with the metric measures, use logic and be able to extrapolate from a known concept. When asked "What day is it?" The usual answer would be "Monday, Tuesday, etc." or "the 12th, 13th, etc."... I've never heard somebody answer "May, December, etc." to then specify a day. ;)

12.05.2018: 12th of May, 2018

12/05/2018: December 5th, 2018

Hence the confusion which known concept to extrapolate from, both are known, both aren't ISO 8601.

Always quite funny to watch, though, see the comment/pop-up of the xkcd above :)

Well, the "known concept" I talked about was more from small-to-large or large-to-small, as in smallest timeframe (day), then larger timeframe (month), finally the large timeframe (year). DD.MM.YYYY

Or like ISO 8601 the other way round, starting with the largest timeframe. YYYY-MM-DD.

Why you mix large timeframe (month)/small (day)/largest (year) inconsistently is at least very "special" and confusing. MM/DD/YYYY. :)

Glad to see more updates for the Gazelle

Indeed it is more logical way to go small to large ... or large to small

Minigun sound coming from left ear instead of from gun when sitting on it.

Also, when zooming in, zoompoint is too low, not zooming in on tracer/shooting line.

As i think this got lost in the off topic talk:

and DCS crashed again, same situation as in this post.

Only difference: This time an F15 launched at me, guessing amraams.

So shortly after i get launched upon by active radar guided missiles my game crashes.

Maybe it has something to do with the RWR indicator?

should i maybe create a new thread for this bug or do the devs already know about it?

edit: for log files, see the actual post

I'm getting something similar anytime I'm around a lot of missiles getting fired on MP...but not necessarily targeting me. I posted a log a couple of weeks ago. There's definitely some MP issues that are causing crashes with the Gazelle.

there is no need to open a new topic. we do read the bug section regularly.

Please do not spam the topics, cause in the end we have to read hours and hours of forum postings that keep us from doing what we would like to do. Work on the existing module and work on new once in the shades of a skunkwork

  • 2 weeks later...

How about a hotfix this friday for Gazelle autopilot fix finally?? Has been in there since last Gazelle patch (minigun addition). On Mistral, autopilot not working at all. needle goes to 1-2 or even -1, -2 on altitude hold mode......

Constant multiplayer crash with all models in busy server (DynamicCaucus)...thought this was supposed to be fixed last patch?
Maybe it is a serverside script not the Gazelle? Any hints in the log?
