Low fps in 1.5.3 compared to Belsimtek UH-1D

Last week I installed the Gazelle into DCS world 2.0.2 and in that it runs smooth at 35 fps.

 

Today I installed it into 1.5.3 Beta only to find that FPS has plummeted down to 30 at Batumi and going further down to 15 when flying over the city to the north of Batumi.

 

In the UH-1D I have 45 FPS at Batumi, which is more or less steady when flying.

 

Note: Neither the RWR or the Targeting camera on the Gazelle is turned on.

 

My PC specs:

I7 3770 3.4 GHZ unclocked, 8GB RAM, 1GB Nvidia GTX 560, Win 7 Home Premium.

 

I know the GPU is below minimum, but I have so far not had issues running other modules in DCS 2.0.2 or 1.5.3 Beta.

I actually meant 1.5.3 Beta (Opening post edited).

 

 

As You can see on these screenshots, FPS is almost halfed in the Gazelle than in the Belsimtek UH-1D and MI-8:

 

UH-1D:

36 FPS

 

MI-8:

30 FPS even with mirrors On

 

SA342 Gazelle:

16 FPS No mirrors, No Vivian and no RWR ON

 

Seems strange to me.

If the trim string is harder on FPS than mirrors or even more complex cockpits ( Mi-8 ) then something is wrong for sure.

 

16 FPS could be explained if the Vivianne system had been On.

 

 

And I even almost forgot the KA-50:

35 FPS with ABRIS, HUD and SHKVAL turned On

Hmm...

I have low 16 FPS regardless what seat I´m in.

1.5.3 is running terribly, in the 20FPS. I lowered some settings and now am getting 30FPS. I have a new system, don't know why I need to lower settings... :huh:

These are my settings in 1.5.3 Beta:

 

But note that I get 30+ FPS flying every other module:

KA-50, MI-8, UH-1D

A-10C, Mirage 2000C, Mig-21bis, F-86, Mig-15, L-39

P-51D, BF-109K, FW-190-D9

Mig-29, SU-27, SU-33, SU-25

 

It's only the Polychop SA342 Gazelle that runs with this low FPS.

On a same mission, same setting, I have 40-45 fps with the Huet and only 20-25 with the Gazelle. I do not know why ?!

Same here. 50s 60s in 2.0.2. 20 or less on 1.5.3. All other A/C in 1.5.3 is above 40 including the Mig-21.

60 (blocked) in DCS 2 and 60 in DCS 1.5 (with highest level of antialising - more than in DCS) on my spec also. No problems. Strange but hope the devs will look at this.

a quick and dirty test has the UH1 at 64 fps, and the gazelle down to 36 in the same situation (no AI units, above plains and all)

 

In the static tank mission for the Gazelle, I get 18 fps.

Were testing it. But keep in mind there a lots of variables at play here...computer speed, ram, graphics card, and hard drive type contribute to it greatly. So if you don't have your specs in your signatures, please let us know the information for those variables.

For those who have a logitech mouse and logitech gaming software installed. I recently had performance issues because I raised the polling rate of my mouse to 1000. I lowered it to 500 and the game runs smooth. It "might" be an issue.

 

The 1.5 Beta runs smooth here.

Interesting. I have Logitech Gaming Software but with Keyboard Logitech G15 only + Headset Logitech G35. No fps issue, so maybe only with the mouse?

Yep - maybe. This mouse issue took me 2 weeks to solve. When the polling rate was set to 1000, the game had a low framerate everytime I moved the mouse/flying over cities. The mouse got 1000 reports per second, everytime you do something with it - and that was the issue here.
