Evilducky Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 Hello. I noticed a weird behavior today with the breaking at higher speeds. So what you need to do is disengage the nose wheel steering , go above 50kt and then turn the rudder one way and hit "W" to break. What will happen is the aircraft will start to break hard the opposite direction that the rudder is turned too. So basically when your landing and you try to rudder the aircraft right, it will go right till you hit the W break which will then cause the aircraft to pull hard to the left. Is this normal cause it makes landing interesting. Edit: I forgot to mention this is in the 1.5 stable version.
609_Relentov Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 I thought this thread was about the Mirage breaking up at high speeds or something... Just to clarify, what you are referring to is "braking", i.e. using the wheel brakes. Not trying to be nit-picky, but for the benefit of those where English is a second language as it does have it's quirks... Thanks for the head's up though.

PiedDroit Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 There are separatly breaks for left and right wheels break? Yes, you can brake left and right wheels separately with the axis - or use a key to activate both brakes at once.
OldE24 Posted June 1, 2016 Posted June 1, 2016 i think this is kinda a known issue right there was a thread about it..but yes i think i have crashed more taking off then actualy shot down by people right now. if you break going fast it's off to the races and your in the grass and cant do crap to stop it. 8700k@4.7 32GB ram, 1080TI hybrid SC2
azm Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 (edited) I`ve noticed that braking power is changing instantly on Mirage when using joystick button to engage the brakes. It grows from zero to full power in 0 seconds when I press the button, and drops to zero in 0 seconds when I release it. Because of this I can`t use brakes in inpulse mode like I do with other planes where fast push-release cycles produce braking power somewhere between zero and full - like I would have with brakes assigned to an axis. Is it possible to change Mirage wheel brake behavior so its power change in more "analog" style? When I push and hold the button braking power raise from zero to max value in one or two seconds and the same when I release it. Thanks! Edited June 2, 2016 by azm

Are you assigning it in the button assignment page or from the axis assignment page? azm Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Are you assigning it in the button assignment page or from the axis assignment page? Keyboard column is disabled on axis page, so I do that on Hydraulic&Machanical page.
