Recommended Posts

here it is:

Although I have preferred they engineered something more powerfull for a 2 axis throttle setup, AKA Saitek X64. ;)

well, for those who dont want to spend 100$ on a stick this could be interesting, and it has dual throttle axis. Where else can you find something like this?

I'd then go for Cyborg EVO wireless and just forget about that split throttle.

that has to be one of the ugliest joysticks i`ve ever seen....

Or rather re-shaped and the most advanced woman's vibrator you've ever seen. With double throttle! And more advanced functions, knobs and switches. :smilewink:

Saitek’s programming software means the Aviator offers up to 8 separate commands which can each be programmed separately. The Saitek Aviator represents a new direction in joystick design. The groundbreaking dual throttles and a wealth of programmable switches and controls make the Aviator the perfect joystick for the latest flight games.

I dont think there are enough buttons on there to warrant selecting it over the x52/45 for LO! But as you say its a bit cheaper.

What I want is MORE buttons! (or touch buddy hehe)

Saitek sticks never won their place in my heart for their looks thats for sure. The AV8r is no uglier than my X52, and shares some already typical ergonomy flaws IMHO.

the 2 are not to be compared. the X52 Pro is a full HOTAS and the AV8R is a budget stick.

That X52 Pro or whatever the name still has a twisty rudder... so much for pro. It will have for shure nice wobbling stick... pff. I had enough fun with this toylike X52... Next is Cougar... with Mods.

[sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

I5 4670k, 32GB, GTX 1070, Thrustmaster TFRP, G940 Throttle extremely modded with Bodnar 0836X and Bu0836A,

Warthog Joystick with F-18 grip, Oculus Rift S - Almost all is made from gifts from friends, the most expensive parts at least

here we go THAT S the next bad ass kick stick

02-03.07 looks like they maybe keep up with date of fsx and Blackshark

It seems that they are the same as the original X-52. Will there be any differences? a HOTAS like this together with the coming Saitek rudder pedal should be an economical choice, for not so rich man like me.

Yeah, I agree. I like how they ditched those X-Wing looks in favour of the clean X36-style look. I'd prefer the X36 style rudders, but I'd live with that especially if they improved the inner workings of the X52.

i386DX40@42 MHz w/i387 CP, 4 MB RAM (8*512 kB), Trident 8900C 1 MB w/16-bit RAMDAC ISA, Quantum 340 MB UDMA33, SB 16, DOS 6.22 w/QEMM + Win3.11CE, Quickshot 1btn 2axis, Numpad as hat. 2 FPH on a good day, 1 FPH avg.

DISCLAIMER: My posts are still absolutely useless. Just finding excuses not to learn the F-14 (HB's Swansong?).

Annoyed by my posts? Please consider donating. Once the target sum is reached, I'll be off to somewhere nice I promise not to post from. I'd buy that for a dollar!

Why are they using buttons from the original “Star Trek”?

IMO Saitek always makes poor decisions when it comes to choosing switches and buttons for their joysticks. This leaves their hotas looking “toy” like at best and doesn’t look like something that was designed for the more serious gamer. I mean why put 1980’s style video recorder buttons on the X52? .. it just looks so out of place.

Cozmo.

Since my trusty X45 is dying on me, I'm buying this one and some pedals too - I hate that twist-rudder system, it never gave me the feeling I needed to fly the chopper the way I wanted :joystick:. Too bad that Cougar with some mods is out of my reach :(

edit: the new X52, not that fugly weird sh*t on the first page
