I was about to post the same picture, the Mirage III is just pure pornography. IMHO it's right up there with the Draken as a candidate to the title of the prettiest jet of all time, but that's just me.

Quick question - are the late variants of the IIICJ comparable to the MiG-21bis in terms of overall performance and combat effectiveness? I'm wondering if the two will be well balanced against each other, and the specifications certainly seem to suggest so. Iirc the R-60 missile went into service in the mid-70s, so my guess is that for best balance and historical accuracy a Yom Kippur war era scenario would have Shafrir 2-equipped CJs with the Atar 09C engine pitted against 21s with K-13s. In any case the unreliability of these missiles would probably result in most dogfights being resolved with the good old fashioned cannons. Perhaps we could pressure Belsimtek into modifying their Fishbed into an earlier variant like the MF... :helpsmilie:

I can't wait for this to be implemented, the potential of this module is tremendous. Good luck Razbam, you have a long list of fans expecting nothing but the best of you.

One question for Prowler, will we get early or late variant of the CJ? I mean Atar9B or 9C?? Regarding missiles, with the Matra Magic being interchangeable with the Sidewinder I think we should be able to load those too, also in 1982 the Mirages carried Lima Sidewinders.

I don't understand anything in russian except Davai Davai!

Hank (HAE5904) confirmed it will be the version with the Atar-9B engine, without any of the modifications added by IAI. A freshly delivered airplane from Dassault.

Cheers!

DCS: M-III by Razbam ?

So the 3d artist should stop working and watch how the coding team debugs the m2k? Sounds not really productive...

It's like sending 3 man to print a document with one printer... It won't go faster ;)

This version would match the MiG-21.... Not the MiG-21Bis that we have...

But it is always better that F-15C vs MiG-21Bis....

The Mirage III's of the Belgian Air Force look pretty good too.

An interesting thing:

On the 2nd of August 1973, O.Lt.vl. Georges Transon of the Belgian Air Force's 2nd wing - 42nd Squadron had an engine fire in the Mirage III at altitude. He ejected at 35.000ft. After a free fall of at least 16.000ft, his parachute opened between 19.000 and 16.000ft. It took him 15 minutes to touch down near Soignes, about 30km from the place of the wreckage (Lessines-Wannebecq).

I still have not decided if I am getting this module. I have the mirage 2000 and I know there is a ton of difference, but they look so similar.

It's true it look similar, yet without FBW it will be more challenging to fly. :joystick:

Is that not a Mirage 5?.

And not a Mirage III.

Thought Belgium never had the Mirage III but only the Mirage 5.

And if you look at the nose in the picture that looks like a 5 and not a III =P.
