It might be the same now (is it really?), but it won't be when the next update hits the servers. It's all down to Your preferences. Some prefer to run the beta, as it gets the new fixes first (and new bugs for that matter). Some prefer to stick with stable release. It's Your call.

Depends on the server really, but If You're doing lots of online, then it is important factor indeed, completely forgot about it.

you only need 2 installs if you also play nevada....YOU can switch between stable and beta with simple UPDATER commands but it's not recomended to go between 1.5 and 2.0.

All the 1.5.3 "UPdates" work on MP weather it be stable or beta as of right now.

you just go to you DCS world bin folder and left shift right click in the file and find "open command prompt here"

then you would DCS_updater.exe Update @stable/@Beta it's that simple

What OldE24 said. One install for 1.5 is enough. It doesn't really matter if you choose the beta or the stable one, because like OldE24 said you can switch between them on the fly: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030

If you want to play Nevada too, then you need the Alpha too.

DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
