I’m going to start trying to do some videos on what I’ve done so far. I’m thinking about taking each panel and doing a video series. One panel at a time. Something on a 1st Grade level. 🤣

You just need a proper ejection seat and you'd be fine.  And white vinyl for your throttle grips. 😄

Specs & Wishlist:

Core i9 9900k 5.0Ghz, Asus ROG Maximus XI Hero, 64GB G.Skill Trident 3600, Asus RoG Strix 3090 OC, 2TB x Samsung Evo 970 M.2 boot. Samsung Evo 860 storage, Coolermaster H500M, ML360R AIO

HP Reverb G2, Samsung Odyssey+ WMR; VKB Gunfighter 2, MCG Pro; Virpil T-50CM v3; Slaw RX Viper v2

You've made it out of proportions and your switches are a bit smaller too. You need all 1:1 size and placement for perfect VR feel.

It's still great if you ask me

Hi,
Currently I am trying to make my left side console panels, but I cant't find some panel sizes. I see the width is 5.75" to all panels, but the heights are missing. I have done an inlet ramps/throttle control panel and AFCS panel, but in VR its a bit off size. I have no info for ICS panel, tone/volume control panel, com/nav command control panel heights. I will be really glad if somebody can help me with that info.

Hi, If it helps I've taken dimensions from the panels in the game based on the fact that the width is 145mm. They may be a couple of millimetres off from the real thing, but without access to actual panels it's probably as close as I can get myself.

Also if it helps the standard panel width is 5.25”

I have reworked the textures and geometry to exactly replicate the F14 heatblur cockpit for VR.

I'll be releasing the full plans and instructions in 1-2 weeks so everyone can build their own F14 cockpit.

Tools required: inkjet or laser printer, exacto knife, large ruler (1m or 3 feet), 5mm (3/16 inch) foamboard, hotglue

Material cost: ~ $50-$60

Build time: 4-8 hours

Here are my PDF files for printing the panels on paper. Size: A4 (Europe)

I want to take care of some of the issues I ran into and had to manually fix, but the plan is to upload them all to Shapeways and make them downloadable, currently the HUD filter handle is already there as it worked exactly as expected. I'm not putting any markup on these so if you have them print them you're paying the price they charge. The quality was really good though. For that price it better be.

All of them will show up here, and if you click on the Handle that's already there you can see at the bottom of the page you can download it.

Absolutely superb, Sooner.  Many thanks.  If you ever put a tip jar somewhere for this work, please link it here.

And for those wondering if they can do this in a basic printer volume: remove the back panel (by deleting the wire support bodies) and you can fit both panels in the basic volume of an Ender 3.

I did a quick check, 3 days of printing for one box (including supports bottom down.) 🤦‍♂️🤣

Still couldn't figure out how to mount them on my setup, but will work the problem soon.

I'm trying currently to convert the obj Files in something I could edit in fusion 260. For the HSD it works quiet well, the VDI is more stubborn.
