Phantom88 Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 Hello all,I got a flash warning from my PC today while playing DCS that CPU Temp was 87C...Is that a Temp that I should worry about? Only happened once,I have a liquid cooler on a overclocked PC. Any program I could install to monitor CPU Temps? Thank You 2 Patrick

Phantom88 Posted June 6, 2016 Author Posted June 6, 2016 Hello:) It's a Intel 3770K Thanks for the link Patrick
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted June 6, 2016 ED Team Posted June 6, 2016 87C is very hot for that chip, especially with water cooling. Forum rules - DCS Crashing? Malefic Rage Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Yes. An Intel CPU should not exceed 80C or you risk damage. On full load when load testing using IntelBurnTest, if you exceed 80 then you'll have problems. Do you have thermal protection enabled in the motherboard? I'm not sure about intel CPUs but with AMD it get's very assertive and tries not to let the CPU go above 75. BTW: What frequency have you overclocked to?
Demon_ Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 (edited) The i7 3770K at 4.4Ghz is running hot, 67° with DCS (60w). And a Noctua NH-D14. Room temps 25-26°. DCS 45min. 82° with prime95 at 92w. Edited June 7, 2016 by Demon_ Attache ta tuque avec d'la broche.
