anasithera Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 (edited) http://www.airforce-technology.com/projects/aerospatiale-gazelle/ "The Gazelle has direct voice input (DVI) systems that control avionics instruments." I'm not putting this in the enhancement thread because there is no way in hell it's going to be added in, but oh my god, how nice would that be? to tell the Nadir to input a new waypoint and just read it off the kneeboard. Beautiful. However, there is something I'd love a dev to answer for me. Polar mode on the NADIR: Can this be used to input bearing and range from the Viviane manually to get the latitude/longitude of what the nadir is currently looking at? This would make the Gazelle's capabilities as a JTAC platform almost equal to the A-10. Considering the other abilities of the NADIR it really seems like it SHOULD be able to do something like that. MAD-MM Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Also what kind of Model we have ingame, later Gazelle use also a TFT Display with moving map compare to our sagem CRT display. Much new stuff is allways under top secret, i think our Gazelle some where around 1990 equipment. Dont think Siri is ask you about your feelings in the near DCS future :smilewink: Once you have tasted Flight, you will forever walk the Earth with your Eyes turned Skyward. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 9./JG27
Weegie Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 Don't have the Gazelle, but if you want voice activated input perhaps maybe Voice Attack? Pretty cheap and works well https://www.voiceattack.com/
dimitriov Posted June 7, 2016 Posted June 7, 2016 The Sa-342M1 was used up to 2004-2006. Then comes the M2 with the SitALAT screen (With moving map). But I don't think there is DVI on the M2 either... In operations, it's already common for French pilots to use Ipads for the GPS... So voice controled avionics... Well :D

Vedexent Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 tell the Nadir to input a new waypoint and just read it off the kneeboard. Beautiful. If there are keyboard bindings for all the Nadir buttons, there's no reason you couldn't do this with the stock Gazelle and Voice Attack ;) I may have to tinker with it - although I typically don't like to add things like that to my module Voice Attack profiles, as I consider it kinda cheating to add control abilities to the aircraft that don't actually exist IRL. EDIT: D'oh - sorry, Weegle already mentioned that.

[...] VEAOs Eurofighter might come with VTAS (Voice Throttle and Stick) controls, so you might be ablte to do that there ;) Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
