Problems with "Ground Attack" mission in the Quickstart section

I'm a big fan of the F-86 and one of my favorite missions is the "Ground Attack" mission in the Quickstart section. Lately, I have noticed that my wingman very seldom survives the mission. He's never been particularly good with his aim and destroying targets, but at least he always made it home with me. Now, it seems he's still a terrible shot but he also can't seem to survive past a couple of passes on target. Thought I'd put this out there to see if anyone else has noticed this slight change. Not a deal breaker, but I am curious as there definitely is something amiss. And I have not changed ANYTHING within the original .miz file except for the liveries. Anyone?
