I have the Mi-8 module. I know sometimes there are soft targets we can kill in missions, but honestly we know this is not the specialized task for a transport heli.

what do you think about the idea make a trigger for Action Score setting? then The helicopters pilots can increase the score in multiplayer e.g. Troops disembark.

While score isn't important for myself, I know of alot of guys that would be encouraged if they actually got scored for stuff like that. I'm all for it.

I voted YES of course. I really feel that the job of the Transport helicopters are not appreciated in the Sim after a hard job with logistic transportation or troops infiltration we need some score increase for multiplayer as well single player mode.

When I am talking about Transportation Helicopter, we can add the trainers aircrafts and we have at this moments 3 of them. A good made reconnaissance mission must be appreciated by the simulator itself.

voted yes. good idea. would be great if mission builders and scripters (for multiplayer server scripts) had the ability to give proper score for helicopter tasks or reconnaissance etc.

but i guess this would be a feature request for the general DCS world program and needs to incorporated by ED in general for the mission building

Someone else to vote for this idea?

We need give some life, love and incentive for the transport helicopters pilots in the Sim.

Score is meaningless in MP. DCS doesn't register A2A kills 20% of the time, than add manoeuver kills, To me the important is to do what you are supposed to, even if you don't get points...I'd still A2A if it game me negative points...

Your point in this thread is a little off topic. We are not asking for opinions about score in very special actions in MP for fighters.

I am fighter pilot and I know very well what you mean but this is not the question in this poll. If you are unhappy with A-A kills go to the right forum. This poll is for helicopters and we have the right to get score too.

My point is on topic : Point system is broken and I find it useless, no matter what aircraft you are in. I think we should have a ''transport'' section like ''planes'' instead of just adding points.

Way back in the day when mp gaming was new and dial up connection was the norm ofp had a great addition of collating all the info from servers signed up to it and posted a league of gamers who had most kills best stats etc. I would love this for dcs 16 years later but not individual scores for helicopter operations. I personally get enjoyment from flying not counting scores :)

I can see though why some would

i5 8600k@5.2Ghz, Asus Prime A Z370, 32Gb DDR4 3000, GTX1080 SC, Oculus Rift CV1, Modded TM Warthog Modded X52 Collective, Jetseat, W10 Pro 64

However, actually we get score by default in every action we do killing units. The transport helicopters main task is transport, so add score for certain transport actions is great. All made via action trigger by mission editor.

I agree about getting pleasure from just flying these logistics choppers.

However a score system would be good and further to that I think it should be based on mass or boots on ground delivered. The bigger the chopper the higher the score capability.... hence the need for even bigger logistics choppers... no bad thing I thinks.

But I also think this will come into its own once we get something awesome like a huge online MP live dynamic campaign where the missile fired from the Mig-29 came from my cargo hold and would not have been fired if not delivered.

HP G2 Reverb (Needs upgrading), Windows 10 VR settings: IPD is 64.5mm, High image quality, G2 reset to 60Hz refresh rate. set to OpenXR, but Open XR tool kit disabled.

DCS: Pixel Density 1.0, Forced IPD at 55 (perceived world size), DLSS setting is quality at 1.0. VR Driver system: I9-9900KS 5Ghz CPU. XI Hero motherboard and RTX 3090 graphics card, 64 gigs Ram, No OC... Everything needs upgrading in this system!.

Vaicom user and what a superb freebie it is! Virpil Mongoose T50M3 base & Mongoose CM2 Grip (not set for dead stick), Virpil TCS collective with counterbalance kit (woof woof). Virpil Apache Grip (OMG). MFG pedals with damper upgrade. Total controls Apache MPDs set to virtual Reality height. Simshaker Jet Pro vibration seat.. Uses data from DCS not sound... goodbye VRS.

I strongly believe that being on top of the score list is not what the whole sim experience is about.

However since the score system is already in DCS it should be:

- incentivizing to increase realistic sim experience

- fair for everyone

There can be a long discussion as what the "correct" would be for a flight sim. It could be things as promoting the cooperation in squadrons, executing flight maneuvers in precise way, achieving mission objectives while fallowing the orders and the mission plan.

As the way that the score system is implemented right now does not encourage any of those I would opt for disabling it at all or rebuilding from scratch.

Staying at the point of transport helicopters, again in reality I couldn't care less how many points I do get. On the other hand I understand that the score system can in some situation promote more the lone wolfs ignoring the battlefield and just going for a kills than people that spend hours flying the helis to help the team in MP or executing the flight plan and mission orders in SP.

F/A-18, F-16, F-14, M-2000C, A-10C, AV-8B, AJS-37 Viggen, F-5E-3, F-86F, MiG-21bis, MiG-15bis, L-39 Albatros, C-101 Aviojet, P-51D, Spitfire LF Mk. IX, Bf 109 4-K, UH-1H, Mi-8, Ka-50, NTTR, Normandy, Persian Gulf... and not enough time to fully enjoy it all

I don't really use the score system, but I can see how it might open more possibilities for others - so that's a yes from me.

I liked how later iterations of the Battlefield series rewarded players for a whole bunch of supporting actions that would go un-scored in earlier titles. Sometimes players who kept repairing, healing or supplying others had the highest overall scores despite having only a few kills.

I don't care much about the MP scores, but as long as they exist, I think it would make sense to also reward supporting actions like transport, cargo delivery, resupply, rescue ops, maybe even recce (finding targets that others then destroy) and so on.

This Idea also work for acrobatics servers. e.g. If you do this at that altitud, that trigger zone, then you get score.

Some people don't care about score and they want to do things in MP just because they want to do it, but there are a lot of people they want see his nick name on the top of the MP or SP score Windows.
