hog_driver111th Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 Hey all, I'm not sure if this has been discussed, and if so, sorry. I've been using the Standalone 1.5 all the time with my Rift DK2, and everything was working fine. Today, I decided to update the OpenBeta and OpenAlpha. I was flying with a friend on Open Beta, and had a strange issue. While I had centered my view as always, it was like the pilot in the sim was leaning forward. If I leaned forward, the view would go up a bit (and forward) and back would go down and back... plus the whole world is then angled weird. I had recentered my view at the exact same spot on both versions, without moving myself or removing my Rift. Is anyone else have this sort of issue? Open Beta Open Beta looking left, showing the angle. The non-Beta/Alpha version shows the horizon level. Standalone version, showing how the cockpit angle should be. funkyfranky Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 I think it's the same as discussed at http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=169026 A warrior's mission is to foster the success of others. i9-12900K | RTX 4090 | 128 GB Ram 3200 MHz DDR-4 | Quest 3 RAT - On the Range - Rescue Helo - Recovery Tanker - Warehouse - Airboss
SkateZilla Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 for now, when entering cockpit, look left and use numpad 8 and numpad 2 to rotate horizon level in you view. But this has been reported. whitav8 Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 @SkateZilla, What happened to your sticky with reported problems? That really helped stop "new reports of old problems" threads. I was going to open a thread about these view concerns because it seemed that the TrackIR issues and VR issues were somewhat different. Also, I still don't think that the numpad 2 and 8 side look approach addresses the whole isuue - even after doing that fix, when I lean forward to read a gauge, the view still moves incorrectly - and of course, it is annoying that we have to do it again after each flight (save doesn't work). OTOH, the improvements with this release are terrific - having the mouse back is wonderful, the pixel density issue is nicer than the Debug Tool, zoom is nice, etc. The fixes are really useful. SkateZilla Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 the viewport bug isnt in the sticky, as it's not a VR Specific Issue., but I'll add it.
