On it, thanks!

Out of curiosity, does Attitude hold exist in the M-2000C? Is it the base AP mode (only first mode to the farther left active)?

Yes, by default PA green = attitude hold. And you can change this attitude with trim command.
Does it work like in the F-16 as well? As in, hold the AP Standby, assume a pitch and/or bank state, release the AP Standby and the AP now keeps both pitch and bank?

It's how it works right now, I'd be quite sad to see it go away. :joystick:

That's how the F-16 works. You can hold the autopilot standby paddle and release it in the new attitude or condition. You can also simply strongly manipulate the stick and have control even when not suspending the autopilot as the autopilot authority is less than the pilot stick authority and the results are additive.

However in the F-16 the trim switch (stick) is disconnected when in autopilot but the secondary trim input (console) is connected. Trim inputs are not used to alter the values that the autopilot is attempting to hold and the quality of the trimmed condition may degrade the symmetry or ability of the autopilot authority to produce the input required for the maneuver. To change autopilot attitude you'd squeeze-reposition-release normally.

When roll < 10° = AP => wings level

60°> Roll > 10° => hold bank angle

Pitch : AP hold the pitch angle

And you can change both bank angle and pitch angle with Trim command.

You can even fly ILS/ GCA final through AP + trim input.

ALT AFF capture the selected altitude with the dials under AP panel.

ALT just hold the altitude.

L|G: capture ILS (Loc + Glide)

In the end, the AP is more advanced that what we have in Falcon 4 F-16.
