Resolution settings under the options tab when using Rift

Hi Everyone

I notice that the resolution is set to 1280x768 under options when I use the Rift. Should I assume that this is not related to the Rift and therefore does not need to be adjusted?

Thanks

John

The Resolution Section shouldnt have an Effect on Rift/Vive Users.

The Resolution is set in the Runtime

Set resolution to 2160x1200 and suddenly the CV1 shows a crisp image. Had mine running at 1920x1080 for weeks and was a bit disappointed until I found this out.

Interesting. I'll give this a try. Thanks :)

This does nothing. VR resolution is not something you can adjust.

Well I tried changing the resolution to 2160x1200. I honestly can't say I noticed a difference, as much as I wanted to. I'm going to concur with those who advise this is a runtime level setting. I just wish my targets were a bit easier to spot, even when they're set to large.

Does nothing. My game is set to 4k, and the rift displays in its native resolution

that's like upping the resolution on your friends monitor, and getting a better picture on yours! :megalol:

Nothing, unless you happen to own a very odd monitor.

As Stated, Once Enable VR Checkbox is Checked, The Resolution/Aspect Ratio Settings are ignored, those items are hardcoded in the VR API/DLL.
