I originally made these models for falcon4:AF, and i recently discovered that ed released an exporter (wise choice), so i decided to export them to lockon, and here's the result:

BTW, bug report: :D

The AMRAAM is wronlgy placed on the underwing pylons. It should be rotated 45º on its axis like the AIM-9 because the fins are burried into the pylon and into the wing.

walmis,

Thanks for sharing the nice models.

But, your AIM-7 model looks a little fat to me.

Please check these pages.

A different version?

BTW TEka is there an up to date site describing the AA caabilities of the Japanese F-2 fighter?

I consulted hundreds of sites but all of them are have outdated info, saying a BVR missile (on the sparrow calss) "is being developed" stated as was back in mid nineties. Has that plane ever been see with such load?

I only know Japanese Wikipedia page.

F-2 can carry AIM-7, AIM-9 and AAM-3 (Japanese version of AIM-9) right now. They are testing AAM-4 (Japanese version of AIM-120) and will send it in service in a few years. They say AAM-4 has better range and tracking capability compared to AIM-120 or AA-12. AAM-5 (Japanese AIM-9X) might be in service in the near future, too.

actually they are quite accurate.

aim-120 length is 3.66m, and diameter is 0.182m

aim-7 len 3.64m, diameter 0.2m

these values are from measure utility in 3ds max

I dont know metrics that well (Hello America, how are you), but translated, them missiles look extremely large for the F-15, barely even fit from the looks of it. What version of the AIM-7 did you reproduce?

I don't find them too big in game, although that was my first impression when I saw the screenshots from the first post.

This is the original AIM-7:

And that's the new one, 1.01 version:

Walmis, great work!

Why an X-plane? You making the model for another simulator?

He probably meant Kh-15S in English (AS-16 'Kickback')

Hardware: VPForce Rhino, FSSB R3 Ultra, Virpil T-50CM, Hotas Warthog, Winwing F15EX, Slaw Rudder, GVL224 Trio Throttle, Thrustmaster MFDs, Saitek Trim wheel, Trackir 5, Quest Pro

Nothing strange, I've installed only Sparrow at that time. (manually) :music_whistling:

Err...

Why are you doing a clipped wing AIM-120?

That missile is for the F/A-22A Raptor. Possibly the F-35 Lightning II aswell.....

Fair enough it can be fired by all aircraft that are amraam capable. Just seems a waste of time when u could put your talents to something else......and u HAVE SOME TALENT!!!
