Time for some ingame shots :)

Made a unique feature for r-77. It's the engine nozzle, it "burns up"

Here, take a look at these screens.

Notice that the missile nozzles are redish, with a metal in the middle.

Now take a look here:

screenshot015jf1.th.jpg

now it's burnt up, and turned black ;) How cool is that

You can change texture by argument. For burned out motor i used argument 2 (which is folding wings) and used that to change the texture.

So basically that's what you can do with textures.

Also you can make boosters and folding wings. Thats all i know of currently.

Looks great but have the the modders figured out a away to make the installations easier?

Sitting there editing config files such a pita.

The mig-29 fuel tank needs texture editing.

The Aim 120 needs cfg editing...

Just askin if there are fixed modman files or I have to go through the install myself?

Short answer........ no.

If Aim-120 came with a graphics.cfg file already edited with the entry, it would include all the settings (vis range, ram precache, scenery, water, resolution etc) that the author used.

The user would have to change all these settings back to the settings that they used (also changing the graphics.cfg file again if you ran in a widescreen aspect).

It would also clash with other skin mods that edit the config.cfg file (e.g. ED's black/USAF skin mods) when installed together via the likes of modman.

Having the user move a few files and add 1 line to their graphics.cfg file is much more flexible for general use and much more kind.

Walmis.... you are a godsend to the FC modding community. respect.

Thanks for the quick answer and a great explantion unlike Pilotasso who instead of point out the issue tries to play a smart@ss :)

P.S If all these mods can be turned into smooth sailing addons then they will be much more popular. Youd be shocked how many people would have a hard time editing the cfg and would simply give up on a great mod :(

There could be build a new ModMan that could have features of LOCFG (like easy config files editing for mod install purpose) build in it.

This way if you want to install a new skin (like those of the Su-25T) it will add the modifications to the files needed to be edited. If you want to add a new CDDS... then almost same route.

We have Modman... We have LOCFG and GUI configurator for Lock On...

We also have good guys with programing knowledge that could do the trick maybe if they have time :smartass: .

Warthog Joystick with F-18 grip, Oculus Rift S - Almost all is made from gifts from friends, the most expensive parts at least
