Thisdale Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 Hey guys, Got a bit of an issue. I can play a mission on a friend's server (private, public, doesn't matter). However, if I run the same mission from my server (i host), no one seems my hosted server. I suppose its a router issue, but i have absolutely no idea what. I play lots of games, and have zero issues in multiplayer. Here's the info i suppose is relevant: Router: Apple Airport Extreme (tower) Internet connection: Cable, 30/10 (plenty fast). Computer: win10, Ethernet cable. Reference ping: Aerobatic server, i get 20ping. When playing with friends, i get between 10 and 20. Any particular router settings i should look out for? Thanks for the help. http://www.youtube.com/konotani Computer Specs: Z97X-gaming Mobo 4670k i5 24G DDR3 GTX 1080 Asus PG278Q Rog Swift 27-INCH G-SYNC Valve Index Thrustmaster Warthog Fanatec Clubsport Pedals (used as Rudders) Thrustmaster T300 Arcantera Wheel Obutto R3volution rig
M0ltar Posted August 17, 2016 Posted August 17, 2016 Its more than likely that you do not have the port forwarded from your router to your PC. When your router receives the network traffic from the remotely connected player it needs to know where to send it. This is done by logging into your router and configuring it. NOTE: Not all routers can do this. Some, especially ones that are provided by ISPs are heavily locked down. Here is a link that should give you a bit of insight on how to do it. BitMaster Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 Look for "portforwarding" in your Apple router. You need several ports being handed over from the router to your server hosting DCS. Use this thread as a guideline on how this works and what ports and protocols you need: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=120856&highlight=gateprotect Gigabyte Aorus X570S Master - Ryzen 5900X - Gskill 64GB 3200/CL14@3600/CL14 - Sapphire Nitro+ 7800XT - 4x Samsung 980Pro 1TB - 1x Samsung 870 Evo 1TB - 1x SanDisc 120GB SSD - Heatkiller IV - MoRa3-360LT@9x120mm Noctua F12 - Corsair AXi-1200 - TiR5-Pro - Warthog Hotas - Saitek Combat Pedals - Asus XG27ACG QHD 180Hz - Corsair K70 RGB Pro - Win11 Pro/Linux - Phanteks Evolv-X
