New Member Question

So i just joined the DCS World, and i must say first off what an amazing flight sim. Have not played many in a long time. But i was wondering, why is it we start out with a Soviet fighter instead of an American fighter, if we are from the U.S.? It would be nice to be able to understand the dialog during campaigns and able to understand the writing along side the instruments/consoles. Just wondering. I do plan on purchasing a bundle or two once i get a joystick for a more realistic feel. Thank you.

Part of it might be that Eagle Dynamics is based in Moscow :)

 

You can enjoy the TF-51 as well, a US aircraft, a little older than the Frog of course.

Maybe it was a British designed engine built in Canada and install in a American designed aircraft ;)

You can delete or rename the RUS folder and then the in cockpit radio language will default to English. That will help in understanding the coms between your plane and ATC.

C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Sounds\Speech\Sound/RUS

Oh i did not think i could change the language from RUS dialog/writing to US, sweet thank you

if you follow this link, you can download the entire english cockpit for the SU-25T. i really love it and it's a lot of fun to check out all the gauges and switches and know what they do, even if you can't actually click them
