Capn kamikaze Posted September 29, 2016 Posted September 29, 2016 It almost seems as if its because something like an AI reaction is being triggered, such as when I'm about to shoot at a target with guns and I would hit them, so the AI decides to then break to ruin the shot, and that decision causes a mini pause, making me miss, or at times where I am pushing a high fidelity FM to its limits, like aerobatics in the Gazelle, perhaps it could be that something is happening behind the scenes, causing a momentary pause as some numbers are crunched. Seems odd, it's nearly as if you can trigger it. Anyone else experiencing this?
AtaliaA1 Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Post your system specs. Just to rule out anything in them. No I do not get those pauses in my flights. Eihort Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 I'm having pretty much the exact same problem now for a while. Even after loading in, I look around and it'll stutter while paused even. Once flying, if I do a fly-by view, the game will hitch again as the plane get's close. I'd almost say it's when the LOD changes or something. I've tried a whole slew of changes. I even had the installation running on an SSD now and the page file on the system SSD set to 150% my system ram. No idea what's causing this or why, and makes the game rather unenjoyable. DX Diag would be attached, but apparently I've uploaded it in another thread and the forums doesn't like that I'm trying to upload again, but yet won't provide me a quicklink to insert into *this* post. Thanks ED. Hopefully this will work: https://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=147775&d=1473208518
orbitalized Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 I have similar or maybe the same issue as you. "Pauses" happens to me mostly when I zoom in, like something loads in backround. After I fly over whole map, pauses are gone and I can zoom like I want. Specs: i5-4670 8 Gb RAM GTX 960 Western Digital Black 500Gb Win 10 i5-4670 MSI GTX 960 4GB 8Gb DDR3 RAM :joystick:
AtaliaA1 Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 (edited) 8Gigs of Ram is the minimum to "Run'' the software. To better enjoy the software use 16. some get away with less but I prefer the "More is Better" Methodology in PC Technology. You may also want to keep a tab on this post. Interesting fix being attempted for pauses. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=175568 Edited October 16, 2016 by AtaliaA1 This was a Boutique Builder iBuypower rig. aairon Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 (edited) Same issue here 32 Gb 2800 DDR4 Patriot ram i5 6600K liquid cooled @ 4.7 Ghz Evga GTX 960 SSC 4 GB DDR5 Asus Z170 Pro Gaming Mobo. While monitoring RAM (Total System Ram) usage in real time in game it never gets close to 6 GB never! More is always better until you have a family to feed then we sometimes have to do with what we have. Thank god we don't need those 1200W arc welders power supply's anymore, unless you plan on plugging a toaster into your USB port lol. This system running prime 95 and graphics bench marks has never exceeded 420 watts total running wide open! When I'm flying at a couple of k in a ka-50 I can watch the terrain below loading in a rhythm it's not smooth and not jerky it just has a rhythm and any body can see it while flying low and fast it's in the way the sim is made, I don't think that will go away if you're running a cray mega computer that takes up a whole room. I won't buy a SSD to "cure" this. I have one sitting in a box, would love to give it a home seriously? inbox me if you want to try one. This was a Boutique Builder iBuypower rig. Eihort Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 As in the post linked previously, removing the "MAX FPS" line in the graphics.lua worked wonders for me.
