Quick question. Any chance of a profile/setting for combined arms? I’ve been messing around in ca a bit recently and it’s really weird being in dcs with out getting shaken! Is this on the horizon?

It's used to limited the data SSA processes. Usually SSA is called every frame and thus calculates/generates an effect. This is usually not necessary thus I implemented a limiter which simply drops some frames. So, the sim still calls SSA every frame but you can control the amount of frame to drop. I hope this will reduce some load on the system...

Uhm... I think there's something wrong with the "Start with Windows" options. As soon as Windows starts I can find the icon in the tray, but right clicking and selecting "Start SimShaker Aviators" I get an exception complaining a file not found. Exiting the app from the tray and opening it again apparently fixes the issue.

 

Has this been reported already?

Yeah it’s a known issue. The beta fixes it.

The point is that I'm already running latest beta... Maybe I should try uninstalling, something may have been left over from the previous stable installation

Hi Chih-Wei,

Yes, it was asked many times. 

A-10C II is supported in the latest SimShaker version. Try to click on Refresh button if you can't see it in the list.

 

Again, I'm not a guy who develops SimShaker for Aviators.

I have SimShaker for aviators and the Sound module. I have been using it for a while and it was working fine until the last update 2.1.0.0. Since this update it loads when DCS is launched, but sometimes it doesn't do anything and sometimes it works normally. If it doesnt work after auto launching when DCS starts usually closing the program and relaunching gets it to work.  

 

I don't see any error messages in the log window in SSA but I am not sure if that is where to look or what to look for.

 

The test feature of the sound module works without issue.

 

I have uninstalled and installed from scratch and the issue persists.

 

Looking for suggestions on how to get this working consistently again.

Just got a buttkicker and the sound module and had a bit of fun tuning my profiles in the 14 and the 18, but then I tried the Huey and WOW. You can fly that thing almost entirely by feel now and I'm amazed. Well done whoever did the Effective Translational Lift/VRS balancing. Please continue this with the Mi-24 and the Apache later this year!

Oh ok, sorry I didn't realise you were already on the beta.

I'm having issues with the beta auto-start with Windows. The option can be selected in settings, but SimShaker crashes after a windows restart if I use the option.

I reported it in this thread a week or so back. Until there's a fix I just leave the auto-start option deselected and manually start prior to opening DCS.

Since some files are reused for other effects, it's not a 1-1 mapping. If you are interested in a special effect, I can have a look which files are related/used for the effect...

Which beta version do you use? The F14-A 135-GR was introduced in beta 2.1.5.0.

I plan to release a new stable version 2.2.0.0 over the weekend. Maybe it fixes your issue or at least generates some useful logs...

Downloaded last night.  Ran perfect with F-14B last night and with my test of F-14A today.  I clicked on a few of the links but didn't see where to donate, f4l0.

After i just reinstalled windows and now the simshaker sound module and reactivated it. I am also using the simshaker for aviators and I can not select Sound (Buttkicker decives) in the services tab so the settings can not be adjusted for each aircraft. I can only turn them off and on. I was able to adjust them before the reinstall. It thinks I have a Jetseat and wants to use that only.

I did install it. I had to spend a lot of time hunting around the forums and the website before I realized I had to install ver2.26 or whatever it is then it started to work. I had and older version. Then it allowed me to select the buttkicker option. I had 2.24 ver before and it worked fine.

I think SimShaker Sound Module version 2.24 also could work.

In some cases (when the Documents folder was moved to another location) you need to start the SimShaker Sound Module once to let the SimShaker for Aviators to find it.
