Ok I think I worked it out, It seems to be staying connected now. When I upgraded from the last Beta to 2.3.0.0 stable it ended up with both stable and beta installed. This has never been an issue before for me. I checked the export.lua and there was a double up of the simshaker entries, I've uninstalled the old beta and ran a repair on the export lua and it looks normal now. loaded my other third part entries and I think it's fixed.
If not I'll report back after a DCS repair.

I just published a new beta with some small fixes:

Version  2.3.2 – beta release

Fixed

  • Turboprop engine effect should now use dampening factor if enabled and airborne
  • Dependencies updated
  • Auto start / Start with windows feature -> new debug output added, might help to track down the issue. Feedback is welcome

My autorun still doesn't work. A Microsoft .NET Framework error message appears. NET Framework is installed with the latest version.

How can I connect 2x buttkicker gamer 2 for it to use stereo mode?

I think you need to pay simshaker sound module addon. So you can connect up to 6 shakers

Yes I got the module, just unsure how to wire it properly

Oh sorry I misunderstood you.

You got a 2way amp? You need from a secondary audio card from you computer, to the amp input.

Then connect two shakers to the amp output

Hi @=Andre=

I am thinking of upgrading my desk chair to a proper flight chair with a cut out. Is there an easy way to adjust my regular jetseat as well? I understand it would mean opening it up, cutting out some fabric and removing filler and stitching it back up. But would it be easy to do you think, or should I not try it because of cabling?

Thanks,

I think you would be happier switching to transducers attached to your new chair structure directly.

I'm currently checking if the engine effect reductions works correctly with the sound module ... The other settings are used to define the "threshold" when these effects start. E.g. the F18 changes flaps/slats alls the time by a very little value. some people don't like if it would trigger the effects all the time thus you can modify the value...

The turbulence editor was mainly developed for MSFS. I'm currently not sure how good it works in DCS but the easiest thing is to play around with it 😉.

Thank you for the reply. This makes sense. I'm able to adjust the other values in the sound module how I like them. All is working good.

I have also just tried Simshaker-Winds for il-2 and that works good as well.

This software is a great addition for flight sims.

So my Soundmodule has been working great and all of a sudden it is no longer responding or sending signals. When I click 'test' on any of the sounds, nothing happens. Not sure what happened. It gave me a 'port in use' check to see if other instances are running right after reboot and a fresh start of the sound-module; clearly no other ones are running so it's confusing.

Hello DCS SSA Community

I just received my JetSeat from Andre and it works great.  I was a bit intimidated with what needed installed when and how to "connect" to DCS.  But I read the manuals, looked for some videos for assistance and powered through it.  It was actually pretty easy.

I am having difficulty setting up specific profiles for individual aircraft.  I might be confused on this topic.   I believe I need to tell SSA that I want to use my own UWV files to enable a custom profile for say the F18 and the F16.  I have that checked in the seat handler tool (below)

image.png

When I click the button to start the UWVeditor, the system crashes

Below is the exception text in the details dialog

Any help from the community would be appreciated.  I am thinking this is a user error (me).

Thanks!

@Mistermann it depends what you mean by custom profiles. In SSA you can adjust all the various outputs relative to each other for each aircraft (e.g g forces, engine, gun fire etc.)

if you want to change the samples sent to the seat for effects then you use the editor. Personally I find the adjustability of the SSA aircraft profiles more than sufficient.

Ahhhhh ... I see now.  Once I fly an aircraft in DCS, SSA automatically adds that platform to the dropdown in the model selection.

I flew both the F18 and the TF51 when testing the seat.  I just didn't realize that those custom entries were automagically added for me.

Thanks @Baldrick33

@=Andre=Is there a list of Sound Module sound files matched to what they drive? I am specifically looking to modify G feeling sound?

Also, how difficult would it be to send one particular sound to both the shaker and normal audio?

Thanks in advance

Hi all.

Bought jetseat one year ago. I am very happy but two things :

- sometimes, when I re take a slot on a server, I have to restart simshaker to bring back the jetseat to life

- It seems that there are no effects in F14 RIO Seat, Am I wrong?

Thx.

Why not. I think you will clearly see the cabling when you uncover the pad.

Finally got my JetPad, downloaded and installed Wings and Aviators and everything worked perfectly from the get go both in DCS and IL2.

Today I started PC and in the moment PC was on, the JetPad started vibrating, four motors in the bottom part. Did not matter if it was also connected via USB, you just plug it into 240V plug and it goes on, the only way is to stop it is to switch it off in the Gametrix control unit or unplug. It is not a software issue, as it starts vibrating when Windows starts or it is plugged just into another plug with no connection to the PC. When in Aviators program and press test, I feel it vibrates left and right as before, but on top of steady vibration.

I flew a bit without it and I miss it immediately lol. Anyone has such experience? Is the control unit the culprit? Thanks.

The Simshaker sound module has worked very well for about a year. Now it doesn't output any sound, not even through the test option
