I tried the reduce engine rumble in the air option and couldn't feel hardly anything anymore even when turning up values. Yeah, some WW2 planes do not have good hit effects. It's a lot of work for me to identify all 3d model arguments which may reflect damage. DCS does not provide a simple interface to get "noticed" if one is hit...

Yeah all FC3 aircrafts do not have afterburner effect and flaps/wing effects. Last open beta version 2.5.9.

The one effect that I think is a must is when you get hit, that effect is not there, and its not even listed in the WWII airplanes, but it is listed in generic planes.

You can see here how many more effects does general piston aircraft has than the P51.

Ideally its a nice idea to have a custom effect for each plane, like it is happening right now, but , not having hits effects is bad.

I rather use generic piston for every aircraft, is it possible to do this?

Hi guys I have a new PC and have installed the Sound Module and Simshaker, every time I start Simshaker I get an error pop up, I cant start the program at all, I have uninstalled and re installed to try to fix it, what do i need to do to fix this error

Any help or ides gratefully received.

Hi, it looks like SSA can't start SimShaker Sound Module. What if you start the latter manually and then start SSA?

I am trying to refine some of the effects simshaker produces by adding to the simshaker.lua file. I have inspected the mainpanel_init.lua but cannot find some necessary variables. For example for the Apache, simshaker.lua has

How can I make DCS export variables for hellfire launches, gun firing, rockets, or certain flight conditions like VRS, retreating blade stall?

The KA-50 section of the simshaker.lua file has this

            dataTable.cannonShells = string.format("%s~%.3f", dataTable.cannonShells, GunTrigger)

Since I dont have that module I dont know what's in its mainpanel_init.lua but I guess I would find a variable for guntrigger which has the ID 615?

How do I find this for the Apache?

I tried inspecting the Huey mainpanel_init.lua but that was not helpful.

It doesn't matter which way starting them, same error box

Start SSM and then SSA same error
Start SSA and then SSM same error

Yeah there are more effects listed, but does a WW2 airplane have an afterburner? Speedbrake? Foldable Wings? So usually, add the effects for each model depending on the data available from DCS and the "capabilities" of the real plane

I do not see that SSA detects that you've fired... Did you use unlimited ammo?

I can not reproduce your issues on my side. I just started the Shooting Range instant action mission and fired the gun. Which SSA version do you use? Could you please disable all effects except the cannon/gun effect and try again? You can also use the effect monitor to see if the effect was triggered...

If I try to open the editor, I get this error window. I have applied a bunch of Windows updates and .NET updates were among them. Clicking continue doesn't work. The editor doesn't open.

What if you try to start SSM by its shortcut in the Documents\SimShaker for Aviators folder?

It just does the same, so the issue is with SSM ??

I tried Simshaker Wings in IL2 and that works fine but i guess that doesn't use SSM

If the SSM can be started by the shortcut in the Documents\SimShaker for Aviators folder it's sane. @f4l0 I'm afraid the issue may be in the SSA.

I haven't time presently to enable the sound one by one but something is cancelling out the weapon release and cannon fire vibrations.
