I was hoping to find out how to add aircraft as AI to the game. Is something like this possible

It would be possible, although i'm not sure if it's possible with sketchup

Yes. You would also want to be aware of which version. I don't keep up but the last time I checked it was the 2011 version.

If you find someone who can convert it to 3DS, you can model it in blender. It just makes things more complex and more prone to errors, but it has been done before.

Animations and texture work need match in 3DS Max with DCS: W requirements, that is not only a easy convert from Blender to 3DS max and EDM plugin to work properly.

That's correct. You can import the blender model to 3DS, but the animations and textures will likely have to be done in 3DS.
