Remove Pop Up screens VR mission

How do you remove or hide the various pop up screens (upper left and right of cockpit) that come up while flying a mission (e.g. mission brief, mission status, wingman/atc comms)? Most of them just show what you can hear in your headset, so I would like to hide them when flying in VR (pop ups take away from the immersion). I checked the settings, but it doesn't seem to impact what happens.

 

Any help?
