Bob Denny Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 I've moved my entire DCS World folder to a new computer. It is now on the C drive instead of the S Drive. I think I have some issues with licensing serial numbers at cetera. Should I just start over? Or is there a fairly straightforward way to migrate?
Sporg Posted October 20, 2016 Posted October 20, 2016 You should have deactivated every module on the old computer first. Then activate them again on the new one. You can still activate on the new one without deactivating on the old one, but then you will loose one activation per module. The easiest way is to use SkateZillas update tool, otherwise you need to manually go into each module folder and run the activation tool there. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=160053 System specs: Gigabyte Aorus Master, i7 9700K@std, GTX 1080TI OC, 32 GB 3000 MHz RAM, NVMe M.2 SSD, Oculus Quest VR (2x1600x1440) Warthog HOTAS w/150mm extension, Slaw pedals, Gametrix Jetseat, TrackIR for monitor use
Bob Denny Posted October 20, 2016 Author Posted October 20, 2016 Ah, excellent! I still have the old one running. I'll deactivate there. I'm still having trouble with the installers seeing DCS on the new system. I'll dig further when I get my next chance to look at it. Thanks for the info.
Bob Denny Posted October 21, 2016 Author Posted October 21, 2016 Well there were other issues, so I decided it's time to go to DCS 2 and enjoy the Nevada area and it's other benefits. I resisted because it has been "beta" for so long. Thanks again for the help though.
