Buggy Upgrade to 1.5.5.58642.188beta, Missing Modules&Ka50 file Not Moved

Recommended Posts

Update to latest 1.5.5 version resulted in no M2000C and F5-E modules in module manager.

Also Ka50 file not moved as per details in attached JPEG file image.

Version I updated from was: 1.5.4.57288. Am just providing this to developers as bugs needing sorting out. I did a repair back to 1.5.4 version and all is working no problem.

Can someone let me know if this is the right place to report a bug to?

Gary

Please add your autoupdate_log.txt it can be found in the root of dcs.

also your logs a guide is in my signature.

As it states something else was using it. Could be antivirus or another dcs was running.

which antivirus are you using?

Hi make sure you add DCS to the Avast allowed / whitelist, Avast has created many problems for DCS users.

Something on your machine is interfering with the update process.

Either you have dcs already running or your anti virus is creating the problem.

hope that helps

Have the same issue with F-5..I have tried several times..it installed on Open beta 1.5.5 but when I updated my stable version to 1.5.5 I did not get the offer to install the F-5. I tried repair, no success, tried uninstalling the beta and stable and downloaded and installed the latest stable version...no success. I didnt change nothing in my win defender options or firewall settings..I had exclusions for DCS turned on from the first day. I did a check before upgrading to the latest 1.5.5 version to make sure the exclusions were present and they were..and generally during DCS installs I always turn off firewall and antivirus..sooo..something is not quite right

This error is usually generated when the file is locked by another program..

Which happens usually when:

The application is already running

The application was set to read only abd quarantined by an AV Suite.

Any suggestions? In my case, as I said...AV should not be the issue..how to check to see if the application is already running?

Start, Run: taskmgr

Also, Unlocker Took will tell you which process is locking the file:

http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Miscellaneous/Unlocker.shtml

Download Install, Right Click on File, Choose Unlocker and it will bring a dialog up that shows what is locking file, w/ option to end that process.

Also, Have you Tried Rebooting?

Latest 1.5.5 beta is a big update 4TB plus. I usually wait several weeks then do update so more sorted out by developers before I update. If you look at:

https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2941506&postcount=38

You will see at bottom they have attended to some issues with F-5 so maybe try again in a week or so as fixes get done. Gary

Those Fixes are in today's 1.5.5 release update.
