nVidia GTX 1080Ti Specs Leaked

Recommended Posts

Here are the specs for the upcoming 1080Ti.

This info is unofficial, and was leaked from the official website through the website's exploit by someone else.

The official release date is still unknown.

The 1080Ti will have GDDR5 instead of GDDR5X. Everything else is better than 1080, and some specs are even very close to nVidia Titan X.

nVidia GTX 1080Ti will be standing between nVidia GTX 1080, and nVidia Titan X, way closer to the nVidia Titan X on the graphs.

The GTX 1080Ti release date is out! It will be available in stores from January 2017, so save your money, and don't buy anything yet. It will cost from $699-$999.

The upcoming (2017) project from AMD is called "VEGA" (not to confuse with the VEGA from the DOOM 2016) looks like a new high-end response to the nVidia. In fact, it seems, like the upcoming hi-end card from AMD will be at least ~40%(?) more powerful, than the newest "nVidia Titan X Pascal".

If you are patient enough to wait until January 2018, AMD actually plans to release the updated VEGA 2018, which will double the performance of the previous one, at least in the memory specs sector - 1TB\s, 32GB.

If you have just upgraded to something expensive, then it's best for you to wait 3 years, until AMD releases their new "Navi" core (not to confuse with the MLG NaVi team) - which will be almost 3 times faster than the current top card, "nVidia Titan X Pascal"

This might be a great thing because it might force both companies to lower their prices in a fight for the new throne in 2017 (unless they both reach a dark crooked agreement).

Great news! Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti launches on March 10, 2017! Not only it will be available in the standard "founders" form, but also in custom designs, and modifications on the same launch day. So, if you don't like that standard fan, or whatever, you won't have to wait longer to purchase the card the way you always wanted.

Can't wait to see the price tag. What do you think guys will it bring?

Anyone is buying GTX 1080 Ti?

Nvidia has no reasons to release this card in a foreseeable future because AMD has nothing to offer against the even regular 1080.

government: gives me money because of coronavirus

me: spends all money on the missing DCS modules

government: ... you dumbo! We won't give you money anymore

me: It's ok. I don't need anything else - I now have the entire DCS collection

sort of normal/typical price tag for a top end gaming graphics card, nothing unusual in my opinion.

Sure, just that after 18month of 980GTX for 745€ I dont go and buy another one that is only 30% faster for the same money, not after I just spend 1k on a rig that aint 1% faster than what melted away :))

Maybe the 12xx series is for me, next one sure I will also skip.

I love my Gsync screen and thus are kinda stuck with Nvidia tho this Vega GPU looks promising.

That much HBA2 memory will sure do good to NTTR

After days of deliberating with myself for a few days, I have decided to cash the 980 in while it still holds some value and bought a 1080. If it is North of that price then I couldn't justify it as I would have to buy a water block as well and the GTX 980 value would of decreased even more

There's no way it's going to cost $700 US, you can mark that down right now.

Expect much closer to $1000 US.

the official announcement finally happened...

looks like they're expecting something big from AMD to make a top end Ti card less than 1000$

It depends on what resolution you game at.

If you run a 1080 and "only" use 1080p there is nothing to gain. Even with 1440p I am very happy with my GPU, I dont see a need to upgrade.

If you run VR or intend to and have no recent GPU I would definitely get the Ti over the plain 1080.

Price is somewhat ok too...and it may drop once Vega is out and competitive

I am running 1440p with GTX970. I need to upgrade but not yet sure 1070 or 1080. I am waiting the release of 1080Ti then I think the price of 1080 could drop and go for it.

No plan for VR

I believe I have read in the last couple of days the 1080 price either has, or will be going down by 100.00 USD. Can't remember where I saw that.

I got my preorder in, I finally can get rid of my SLI 980 setup.... I only did this due to VR though.

Congrats, sounds like a great reason to upgrade to it.
