BTW - For brake lever axis, use a $2 STM32, a L.Bodnar for this job is overkill.

 

 

This is very interesting, thanks, especially as LB boards are getting flipping expensive. Looks like it does pretty much the same thing but for 10% of the cost. Have you tried this and had any success?

 

 

Looks like I would have to learn some more skills but that is part of the fun.

2 Question to all electricians out there:

 

I have broke one JST-plug on my Warthog-PCB (Stick).

1. Is JST GH 1,25 the right one?

2. Is it possible to solder it back on PCB without heating the Chips on it?

Originally, i wanted to ask Thrustmaster for a PCB, but with her customer service like: "we have no spareparts" i can probably forget it.

1. yes, microJST 1.25

2. yes, but only if you have the right tools, like a precise controlled soldering iron with a fine point tip, de-soldering braid, flux.

 

The pins are very close together so it won't be easy to re-solder the new one but is possible. TM are not very diy/fix-it-yourself friendly and even when they did their shipping cost generally make small parts not worth it, at least once they moved their headquarters overseas.

yes the pins are 1,25mm close to each other. I have the tools and soldered a few wires in my "never-ending-DIY-Hog-Stick".:joystick:

After all, he is now 7 years old and has already given me a lot of fun

and work :lol:
