Yes I'm using the latest versions of the Exportscript and Ikarrus. The gauges for the F18 just aren't working for me. Even using the original profile without making any changes doesn't work. I can push buttons like turning the tacan on and entering a frequency but that's it. Not even lamps working.

In your screenshot I see another error, the Ikarus and the XML file must have the following name: FA-18C_hornet.ikarus or FA-18C_hornet.xml

Otherwise the profile is not loaded automatically.

Ok first 3 positions switch works well.

 

Here is what i found so far:

 

-Validate data entry of the INS doesn't work

 

- INS digits aren't working while data entry

 

- INS Pcn sub r b doesn't work

 

-Ins operrational mode knob turn opposite to the sim

 

- Hud Switch should be in lower position by default

 

- Radar altimeter power Switch should be in lower position by default

 

- BR, DA, D2M and decoy release mode Switch should be in lower position by default

 

- D2M switch doesn't work

 

- Tacan mode select knob work but come back to the default position by itself

In your screenshot I see another error, the Ikarus and the XML file must have the following name: FA-18C_hornet.ikarus or FA-18C_hornet.xml

Otherwise the profile is not loaded automatically.

That is correct. The gauges and lamps do not work with the Hornet. The .xml error was from a profile I created. If I load the default F15C profile and the A10C profiles, they work perfectly. I'm going to delete Ikarus and install it again and load the default F18 profile and see if I get an error in the log.

That with the switches that move themselves could be a problem of the module.

I'm not sure yet. But it would be logical. We'll see ...

I've downloaded the script you have linked. I'm still getting the same results. I've checked for the FA-18C_hornet.lua file and it is there with the rest of the .lua files.

- Tacan mode select knob works but come back to the default position by itself <-- in the 3D view it's o.k. The feedback from DCS is wrong and turns the switch back to off. ID 626

 

- UHF radio mode selector knob works but come back to the default position by itself <-- Here we have the same problem. ID 446

 

I think we have to wait a bit. I hope it is solved with the next update of the M-2000C.

 

I have already configured thousands of switches. I've never seen anything like that before.

According to dcs.log you are using the Open BETA version of DCS World.

Please copy the ExportScript to the appropriate path.

Thanks McMicha!! That was it. I was installing it wrong. Thanks for being patient with me and helping me out. Now to create my own profile in which I'm sure I'm gonna have problems with, so I'll be asking more questions like when you create a profile and save it, does an .xml file automatically save or do you have to create one?

Nice to hear it's working now.

 

We deliver the xml files, you don't have to create or change them.

 

If you want to create your own Ikarus profile, then it is best to change the supplied profile.

Because here all possible gauges and control lamps are already set correctly.

 

You can then simply move all gauges, keys and lamps or move them to other panels.

You can also simply change the graphics (background, switches, lamps).

may be à bit off topic but because DCS crash a lot I am looking for all option I can found so here is my question:

 

Hopefully, my question will be clear to get clear answer

 

in A-10C module, How do you duplicat the RWR (AN_ALR69V) in the second screen to "fit" in Ikarus?

May be it is the way I do it that make DCS instable

because the way I do it seems to look way back to V1.1.1.1

We do not duplicate anything today. I think it still works like it was back then. Unfortunately. I had a bit of a hunch that I would not have to change the DCS scripts to get those expenses. That worked. Unfortunately in the version 2.5 no more.
