Did this really warrant a new thread, and it's a bit of a stretch anyway right?

While a full B-17 would be nice, we've been told the B-17 for DCS will be AI only on more than one occasion, and unless you explictly see ED saying different then that's what it will be. We've also never seen any hint that BST are involved in any of the WWII stuff.

I think these two projects are the Mi-24 (which was already confirmed IIRC) and AH-64A (which was suppended/canceled a long time ago).

Mission: "To intercept and destroy aircraft and airborne missiles in all weather conditions in order to establish and maintain air superiority in a designated area. To deliver air-to-ground ordnance on time in any weather condition. And to provide tactical reconaissance imagery" - F-14 Tomcat Roll Call

If you ask me the possibilities are:

- The project joining with ED might be F-15C full fidelity. It was rumored for a while now, and when in one of Wags' live streams, F-5 was leaked in module manager, same module manager had two entries for F-15, one of which said Belsimtek as the developer. Personally, I wouldn't be interested in it almost at all, but seeing as it is one of the most, perhaps the most popular ride in online PvP, full fidelity version could quite possibly sell like hotcakes. It is worth mentioning that current PFM of F-15C was developed by Belsimtek.

- Another possibility could be some sort of MiG-23, as the recent stillborn project under Razbam ended with ED not granting the licence for module, eventually with Wags hinting on mudspike that it was conflicting with "other projects". This one is bit of a stretch though, and I don't find it too likely, even still I'd say even this is more likely than B-17. This could also fit with the Belsimtek's practice of developing modules in a counterpart pair, perhaps being counterpart to F-5E, as the MiG-21 was already done.

- The project continuing after a long hiatus in development most likely is the Mi-24, and I hope it is, this is the one I want to see most. On Russian side of forum, PilotMi8 has been hinting for a while now that Mi-24 will continue and news will be provided in due time.

- The other possbility is AH-1 Cobra, which, last when it was still in schedule, would be the W model. So far information points to Mi-24 having passed it in dev schedule though. While personaly not as much as the Hind, I'd love the Cobra very much too.

- Now, this may be the greatest stretch, but it may also be people's holy grail, the F-16, as it had been in dev at one point, and The Battle Sim (military/professional product based on DCS) web site which was updated a few months ago did list F-16 among the modules in dev for that platform. As said, this is quite a bit of a stretch,

- Another, low possibility could be the F-4 Phantom, as in a post in Russian section Chizh said something to the effect of "F-4 could be" for future.

These are the stuff I can think of.

B-17, while would be very, very nice to have, is quite unlikely. There is practically nothing pointing that direction so far, and Belstimtek, at least up until this point, have shown no foray into WW II side of things. Only information (along with a recent WIP screenshot) we have for B-17 is, an AI only one by ED as part of DCS WW II project.

Regardless, I am looking forward to what will the Belsimtek come up with, as they currently are my preferred developers. Well, I could even say favorite actually :)!

Could the new large project be a Korean War Map with period units? That would be a big project and bring much appreciated support to some of Belsimtek's finest work (IMHO) - the MiG-15Bis and F-86F.

I bet the resumed project is the Mi-24 - a more logical next project given the system overlap with the Mi-8 and it's relevance to the new Black Sea map.

Just my 2 cents.

Razbams's MiG-23 project was halted by ED... Maybe that's the large project they are making with ED...

Can also be a map, or a russian counterpart for the upcoming F-18C...

A full fidelity B-17 seems unlikely for now, but would be awesome!

Bring it on BST!!!

back in the old days, i.e. the mid 90s, there was a game called air warrior, that evolved into Aces high, that had a fully crewed b-17. It was pretty fun to play, and was a blast when you had 3 or 4 of them. We called it the Death star... With 5 or six gunners and pilot and bombardier was very interesting

We are Virtual Pilots, a growing International Squad of pilots, we fly Allies in WWII and Red Force in Korea and Modern combat. We are recruiting like minded people of all Nationalities and skill levels.

Some AI B-17s wouldn't be too much to ask for right? It could be used for missions, defend the B-17s, Germans intercept, etc.

It must have been a mod. In 1.5 as for US bombers there are only B1-B and B52-H at the moment.

I cant use Sidewinder FFB, and expect the elevator trim to work correctly. Also, if I hold down of the button for elevator trim, the stick starts getting very stiff and the plane begins rolling to the left or right. As if pitch and roll trim are getting confused. But, there are no control conflicts in my setup.

Go to your controls setup and under axis select the controller input axis for either your pitch(elevator) or roll (aileron) control. Once highlighted, the 'FF Tune' box along the bottom of the window should now be white (instead of greyed out and unselectable). Click this.

In the new FF tune window tick the box next to 'Swap Axis'. Click 'Ok'.

This will take you back to the Controls Window.

Save the profile if you wish and/or click Ok again.

Your trims should now act on the correct axes.
