De-/Activation still necessary

Facing a PC upgrade including Win7 reinstall. Is it still necessary to deactivate DCS before and reactivating it after everything is back and operational? Why is it not all simply bound to the Login? Only one module with unique serial may be loggin in at any given time?

And how/where would I do the de-/activation?

Yes,or you'll burn an activation.

 

xxx_protect.exe in the modules / bin folder, choose activate/deactivate, then click deactivate,

 

or use Updater GUI Utility.
