Lougy
Hi guys. I know there are few posts about this already, but none of them seem to have solved my problem. DCS was working fine up to 1.5.4 version. After updating to 1.5.5 game crashes on mission loading screen every time. However, i am able to run a mission for about 1-2 minutes if i set graphic settings to lowest. But after 1-2 minutes of gameplay it crashes the same way. Log says ACCESS_VIOLATION, so it seems to me like DCS was wasting all my memory and then not beeing able to write to virtual memory or something(idk, i am not such an expert) Solutions i tried so far, but didn't help: -Removing nVidia driver with Display Driver Uninstaller and reinstalling it -Deleting nVidia driver an returning to older version (368.81) -Uninstalling Tacview -Removing Saved Games/DCS folder -Reinstalling DCS -Waiting if the issue doesn't resolve itself  I am attaching log and whole Logs folder: dcs_log.txt Logs.rar Please help me. I cant play whatsoever. And returning to 1.5.4 does not seem like a reasonable solution. ruddy122
Another thing you can try is add an exception to your DCS for your antivirus, firewall, or Malware protector I had the same problem but when I disable real time scanning in Mcafee Antivirus and turned off my Malware Protector while playing DCS. DCS worked as advertised Hope this helps Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] LUCKY:pilotfly::joystick: Computer Specs CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 6-Core 3.4 GHz| GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 6Gb | RAM: 32 GB DDR4 @ 3000 MHz | OS: Win 10 64 bit | HD: 500 Gb SSD
ruddy122
Sounds like your computer thinks now that DCS is a Malware or Virus Threat You need to tell the computer DCS world is OK Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] LUCKY:pilotfly::joystick: Computer Specs CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 6-Core 3.4 GHz| GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 6Gb | RAM: 32 GB DDR4 @ 3000 MHz | OS: Win 10 64 bit | HD: 500 Gb SSD
Lougy
Ok. I have no antivirus downloaded or installed. There is only default Windows Defender. Now I added an exception both for DCS.exe and whole game directory and turned off firewall completely. Thanks ruddy, Unfortunately nothing has changed, dcs still crashes. What i see here weird is that time i am able to run DCS depends on graphic settings of a game.. And my behavior (for example if i fire cannon, it usually makes DCS crash sooner) Intel Core i5 8600k, MSI GTX 1080 8GB, RAM 16GB 3000MHz, SSD Samsung EVO 960 M.2, MSI Z370 GAMING PLUS Saitek X55 Stick+Throttle
dancinbare
something that helped me in the past was to run dcs as administrator. Edited December 30, 2016 by dancinbare misspell
Lougy
Running as administrator just opens a special winow for debugging after violation for me  Thanks anyway dancinbare! lukynoo92
I have two friends with similiar issue. They cannot play DCS since 1.5.5 (up to 1.5.4 everything was fine). AtaliaA1
I believe you are having "Memory" issue. Setting the graphics to a lower setting allows you longer play time. Add another 8 Gig ram chip. Just like the one you have in now. or buy a 16 or 12 Gig kit. That 740 M isn't the best but it is all you can do now. It will require a lower graphic setting. Lougy
Not sure what you mean by fresh install grabby, but I guess fresh install would be a solution. Today I downloaded DCS openbeta and it works fine on medium graphic settings (FPS about 30-50) version 155-60565.2016 It is not a memory problem i checked resource monitor. RAM is OK. ruddy122
I had to disable a program called rapport (IBM Trusteer Services) My bank and some credit card companies use it to prevent identity theft and protects like your antivirus and Malware protector The program believed DCS was a threat and prevented it to work properly Once I disabled it DCS worked just fine Hope this helps Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] LUCKY:pilotfly::joystick: Computer Specs CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 6-Core 3.4 GHz| GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 6Gb | RAM: 32 GB DDR4 @ 3000 MHz | OS: Win 10 64 bit | HD: 500 Gb SSD
