Do Combat aviators "chit chat" ?

So I am making a new campaign for the F-15C and I'm thinking of filling some of those long drawn out WP flights with some pilot chatter... Is this something the flight will actually do? Will they carry on side conversation while in flight?

As long as the flight is on it´s own frequency, don´t see why not.

 

Depends on many factors. If radio silence is ordered, obviously not. If you leader is a hardass, also probably not.

Now when we fly MP, we chat all the time. It's just part of the bonding and horsing around. Off course as we near combat, this all stops and focus on some level of command & voice discipline. (As best as we can for being virtual wannabe's) :-)

When the first A-10s were deployed to the middle east, they flew them over (long flight with refueling on the way) and the pilots did chit chat over the radio since there was nothing else to do.
