AdurianJ
I found this neat PDF made by the association Datasaabs Friends. It covers the development of the Viggen's CK-37 computer which enabled the aircraft to forego the Navigatior and only have a Pilot. http://www.datasaab.se/Papers/Articles/Viggenck37.pdf Come to think of it Leatherneck must have built a CK-37 emulator that is running in every Viggen ! I doubt it - that would be extremely complex. (or would it, by today's programming standards?) Thanks a lot for sharing anyways! Goblin
Yes, we've sort of built a computer within your computer. I have changed CK37 units on the Viggen. No way you could've fit one of those inside my PC without me noticing. It's cramped in there... ;)
