Decibel dB Posted January 1, 2017 Posted January 1, 2017 Happy New Year everyone. Few day ago I tried to load a Mod using JSGME and I had a failure message and the game crash. It was a mod that was working before and that I had remove before an update. Anyway now my DCS world don't even start and this is without any mods. I read somewhere to do a repair but I can't find how. Thanks

Morpheus Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 (edited) Or Start menu ==>Eagle Dynamics ==> DCS World ==> Repair DCS World or you can use the utility, link post 2, very easy, download it copy it in DCS World and launch it you will see "Repair" option at top (Launch DCS, Update, Repair . All mods will be disabled (a "_backup.00X" folder will be created):smilewink: Edited January 2, 2017 by Morpheus

Art-J Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 (edited) Remove content of Saved Games\DCS folder then (on Your system drive). That's where all Your personalized game settings are located, and if the mod messed up something over there, no repairing/reinstalling will help. You might only save Config\input folder before doing so (same location), this is where Your controller settings are hidden and I guess You don't want to re-do them all over again. Logs stored here: c:\Users\Yourusername\Saved Games\Dcs\Logs\ Would be handy to have the mod you were using also or at least its name. Also what type of error did you have ??? Regards, Ian. MadDog-IC Posted January 8, 2017 Posted January 8, 2017 (edited) I am trying to upload the log but it doesn't. It tell me invalid file. Can you please tell witch one exactly Either archive all the files into a dcs.zip file if they are larger than 500k each or rename the individual files and change there names from .log to .txt. ie dcs.log, dcs-old.log are main ones needed, crash dumps may be useful only for ED as I can't figure those out. The uploader will not accept .log files, check the list below the file upload boxes to see the formats and sizes accepted. Regards, Ian.
