beowulf71
Hey all, So I bought the FCS 3 module, and it comes with a number of jets to fly. However, I seem to only be able to fly them in the small list provided.. e.g. a specific scenario for a specific plane. I would love to take the A-10 or F-15 from the airport, vs having to be in flight. So the FCS was a lot cheaper than the individual planes combined, is it that the planes FCS comes with are limited/restricted and thus I have to buy each plane individually as well? I am OK with that if necessary, just want to make sure I am not missing something. The wording for FCS 3 indicates the jets within it are the same ones if you buy them individually, so I just assumed it was a much better deal and I wouldnt have to buy them again? On a side note, in all the tutorials I see on A10, the cockpit looks different than the one I have from FCS. Is the FCS a newer version or something? Thank you. Haukka81
Just use mission generator or mission editor , its easy :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Oculus CV1, Odyssey, Pimax 5k+ (i5 8400, 24gb ddr4 3000mhz, 1080Ti OC ) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
probad
fc3 is the bundle pack, you don't need to buy the standalone modules. if you want to fly the aircraft from a cold start you can go to mission editor, place an aircraft and in the righthand panel select 'start from ramp.' don't forget to set aircraft controller to player or client. Flagrum
On a side note, in all the tutorials I see on A10, the cockpit looks different than the one I have from FCS. Is the FCS a newer version or something? That's probably because those tutorials are about the A-10C and with FC3 you got the A-10A. The A-10A is the older version (in reality) of the aircraft and the A-10C got some serious upgrades. And in DCS, the other difference is that the A-10A, as FC3 aircraft, does not provide a clickable cockpit and the systems are not modelled as deeply as in the DCS A-10C module. beowulf71
Ah..ok.. so.. if I were to buy the A10C, would it replace the A10A or could it be used in place of the A10A? I did buy the TM Warthog sticks, so I wanted to make sure at least the A10 was mapped well.

shagrat
The A-10C is a totally separate aircraft. It will neither replace the A-10A nor have the same missions. It is modeled to full clickable cockpit, with advanced system modeling. The upgraded A-10C has a LITENING targeting pod and can guide laser guided bombs etc. So it is more like the free "TF-51D" from the simulation aspect, with far more complex systems. It is a lot to learn, but an awesome aircraft with a lot of different mission capabilities. feefifofum
Hey beowulf, here are some nice missions for the A-10A and F-15C; download these to c:/users/YOURUSERNAME/saved games/DCS/missions for DCS 1.5 or c:/users/YOURUSERNAME/saved games/DCS.openalpha/missions for missions in the NTTR You can then access these missions by selecting - Mission from the main menu, then the My Missions tab on the left side of the screen. If you don't see them for some reason, you can manually navigate to any .miz file like a normal file browser from here.
