After 1.5.6 update - loading time is infinite and missions don´t start?

Anyone else who have the same problem, or a solution?

me too, extremely bad performance.

extreme lags in loading times, even if scrolling in ME or when zooming ingame.

I dont use tacview and have the same issue. Even without any activated mod.

I remember the mig21 was very hungry as well but LN fixed it.

I've the same problem, it doesnt seem related to the viggen, since the loading of other modules (for example the C101) also takes forever.

I have all Mods disabled, including TacView, so the cause of the problem is something else :(

I am not seeing an issue personally

for troubleshooting.

remove any unofficial modifications and run a repair

rename your DCS.Openbeta in saved games keep it as a backup for now

C:\Users\yourname\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta

restart DCS redo settings and test

please attach your logs after you have an issue

Thanks for all the replays

I just did all the above + deleted the Tackview.dll file (I my case it was localized in saved game/DCS.openbeta\Mods\tech\Tacview\bin\

It then worked.

Then I tryed to enable the mods again and same problem happend. I found out the mod "DAWS_Save_Mission" made it happen and disabled it. Then it worked just fine.

I dont understand why people try to use a modded Open Beta.

The whole point of a Beta is for testing purpouses with a clean install.

Yes, I installed the Viggen trough the Module Manager. Also, this morning I used the DCS_Updater to convert my DCS into beta 1.5.6

I've disabled all of my Mods, and did a repair as you suggested, however the slow loading of misions persist.

For example I tried to load a quick mission of the C-101 (the Free Flight one) since I wanted to check its new updates, but the game gets stuck on the Loading screen of the mission, never reaching the briefing. After 10 minutes of waiting I cancelled the game using Windows Task Manager :(

Im enclosing the log and the result message of the repair.

Thanks for the help

Some users switch installs between release and open beta without having multiple installs, these things can happen.

The advices from bignewy didnt help for me. Loading needs at least thrice as much time as 1.5.5. After entering the mission I got some loading freezes for 2 or 3 seconds when I pan the camera. And somehow the overall performance is slightly worse but I am not absolutly sure about that.

I dont use tacview or any other unofficial mod.

I dont understand why people try to use a modded Open Beta.

The whole point of a Beta is for testing purpouses with a clean install.

So, in your view the 2.0 cant be used along with any Mod, since it only exists in Beta (or Alpha)? ... Mods play a big part in improving the enjoyment that we get from DCS, it would be a shame if they have to be put aside until DCS is fully finished.

My view is that the OpenBeta has only a week worth of modifications over the regular 1.5, its not such a big difference and certainly not enough to refrain from using long standing Mods like Devrims english cockpits or Starway's terrain.
