cichlidfan
Modelling of turbulence caused by mountains is never going to happen. It is way too complex for DCS and/or our current hardware to handle. Bearfoot
Modelling of turbulence caused by mountains is never going to happen. It is way too complex for DCS and/or our current hardware to handle. I dream of a future where all our inputs are communicated to remotely-piloted 1/72 replicas flying over a 1/72 scale landscape, and responses are feed-back into our VR rigs .... dimitriov
I think that it could be simmed at least a bit. When I say that you cannot train really on DCS, of course it's a bit exagerated. But IMO because of this lack you miss the main pleasure/challenge of piloting a helo, and I sincerely think it's sad.
David OC
I know other sims mostly fake turbulence most of the time with camera movement etc, we know DCS is very much not into scripting and has a dynamic weather system, perhaps they could add something down the track similar to THIS perhaps? Wishlist... Edit: Thinking about this it may not be possible at the moment with our PC's seeing just how much more the AI and ballistics in DCS would take up in system resources, perhaps this is why it's not implemented? Can we have real Icy runways to while we are here lol, not asking for much.... Back to the Gazelle, it needs some TLC here and there, as I'm not a Gazelle pilot and only flown an R44 before, I'm not going let this stop me from enjoying what we have, it can always be that litter bit better and closer to IRL. ED Team NineLine Posted February 17, 2017 ED Team Share Posted February 17, 2017 Hi, EFM : External flight model, system used by all 3rd parties, but as long as a 3rd party will code his fm himslef from scratch, EFM doesn't mean anything. Every 3rd party has his way of coding, it's not generic. AFM and PFM, ED only, their way of coding, which doesn't mean more or less accurate, Professionnal flight model, it's marketing because they know you like that. Every team has its way of coding, and there are lacks everywhere, including on the ka-50. I really am starting to think you are speaking way above what you know now... I think this thread has run its course. We should all wait now for the devs to get organized and get back to us when we are ready. Report new bugs as you find them but these discussions end up being more chest puffing than anything helpful.
