F10 Comms menu

Good evening all,

Is there a limit to how many options you can get on the F10 "other" Comms menu? Or is there anyway to create a second page of options?

Thanks

Galm, there is but it involves some pretty serious scripting work on your end.

Basically you'll need to add and remove all of your menu items for every command on every page, and set up a series of flags to keep track of which menu you're in and what you've done.

I think there may be some functionality built into one of the scripting toolsets for more complex radio menus but I honestly can't remember which one it was... I want to say MOOSE?

Hi Galm,

you can use ATME script Framework to do that.

An example here : https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3019664&postcount=33,

how to create a submenu here : https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3024593&postcount=6

You can download ATME here https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3001608&postcount=1

And a mission made by SUNTSAG using ATME sound and F10 menu abilities (see his video) : https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=181503

Ask me if you need help

Hi FlightControl. I've been watching your YouTube videos and I'm trying to get a handle of this MOOSE scripting. I'm a person that learns by example. I need to see some simple Lua coding and MIZ files that go with it. Right now I would like to make a simple MOOSE driven miz file that has nested F10 menus to tell my squadron (my group and 2 other AI groups) to get into certain squadron formations. For example, I might ask YELLOW GROUP to go echelon left TOP COVER. ...or I might ask RED GROUP to go line abreast starboard LEVEL height. Can you get me any simple F10 menu lua scripts already written that I can model and make my own? Also, I would like to know how to use the formations and follow functions with the F10 menus. Thanks in advance, ChuckIV

Salute

Blowing the dust of an old topic I know, but does anyone know what sets the order of options in the F10 menu when you have multiple top level options. Does not seem to be alphabetic?

Visit the Dangerdogz at www.dangerdogz.com. We are a group based on having fun (no command structure, no expectations of attendance, no formal skills required, that is not to say we can not get serious for special events, of which we have many). We play DCS and IL2 GBS. We have two groups one based in North America / Canada and one UK / Europe. Come check us out.

The order you set them up.

@Elphaba

Not quite that simple.

I use the DML Tool box to create the radio menus so there is no natural sequence like there would be if I used the settings in the DCS triggers flow.

Radio menus are created by providing parameters to a zone and then a background script does the work for me.

I will check in with @cfrag and ask him.

I didn't know you were using a 3rd party library. Okay, @cfrag will sort you out no problem.

@Elphaba To be fair, I did not make that clear in my original post.

Cheers and thanks for taking the time to reply.
