Art-J Posted February 1, 2017 Share Posted February 1, 2017 I noticed that high building shadows with my usual "flat only" terrain shadow setting started flickering in 1.5.6, so I turned them to "default" and the problem was gone. Haven't noticed anything obvious about the trees, so maybe it's related. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10. But bear in mind that now "default" is a higher level setting (objects cast shadows over other objects) which could decrease performance so I guess planar shadows should still be fixed...I will try default option and see what happens... EDIT: Tried default shadows and while the are not flickering, its behaviour is weird becausethe only show in a little portion of the sight and not render at even very near distances so I think there is a big problem with shadows right now (or they are changing something) Edited February 2, 2017 by watermanpc Take a look at my MODS here Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
