Supersampling (Nvidia DSR) and DCS

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Would like to try super sampling with DCS, as an alternative to antialiasing on my 1080p monitor. Does anyone have any experience with this? All the 1440p videos I've watched of DCS look SOOO much better than anything that my monitor outputs in 1080p. (yes, even on my monitor :))

A quick tutorial or a point in the right direction on how to enable this with DCS would be a great help. Thank you!

Current specs: Windows 10 Home 64bit, i5-9600K @ 3.7 Ghz, 32GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB Samsung EVO 860 M.2 SSD, GAINWARD RTX2060 6GB, Oculus Rift S, MS FFB2 Sidewinder + Warthog Throttle Quadrant, Saitek Pro rudder pedals.

Sorry???

open up nvidia control panel.

Manage 3d settings - set DSR factors

Open dcs

Settings

And set pixels what you like!

That's it! Have fun!:music_whistling::thumbup:

In my ecperience, for some reason, seems like DSR doesnt work with DCS at least no matter how high I set it all the way to 3440x1440 I cant see any diference, even in performance so not working for me...also, menus are not resizing so you have to set your scrren res to DSR option in order to be able to use menu, not very confortable..

Take a look at my MODS here

Ive tried that. Doesn't seem to work at all. Will try updating my drivers and try again.

Updated driver. Set DSR to 1.73, won't let me change resolution in-game. :(

Sample set dsr factor 2.0, set resolution 2770x1775 in nvidia control. Start dcs set resolution that dcs gives. Not manual input, but choice. Same as 1920x1080.

Ok this worked. Thank you! The trick was to get my desktop resolution the same as the resolution in the sim. Thanks a lot. I gotta say at 1440p the difference feels huge to me. I have no noticable FPS loss. (Set AA to OFF though) but the graphics feel much crisper and I can spot planes somewhat better than before. Once I can afford a good 1440p monitor thats going to be my next upgrade.
