Dudikoff
In the instant MiG-29S intercept mission, I noticed a problem introduced with the SNP2 mode with the latest 1.5.6 release. When R-77 missiles are launched in SNP2 mode, both missiles go for the primary target (marked with a cross). It wasn't present in the 1.5.6.1340 Open Beta. Dudikoff
I tried again today and wasn't able to reproduce it which is weird as I tried it several times in a row when I reported it and it was happening every time. I'll report back if I figure out what's happening. But, I did notice another thing with the SNP2 mode. It should only work in PPS and ZPS submodes, not AVT (interleaved). But, if you're in SNP2 (either ZPS or PPS submodes) and press RCTRL-I (which resets the TD designator to center), the scan submode will get reset to AVT as well. i386DX40@42 MHz w/i387 CP, 4 MB RAM (8*512 kB), Trident 8900C 1 MB w/16-bit RAMDAC ISA, Quantum 340 MB UDMA33, SB 16, DOS 6.22 w/QEMM + Win3.11CE, Quickshot 1btn 2axis, Numpad as hat. 2 FPH on a good day, 1 FPH avg. JunMcKill
Anyway the SNP2 have been a waste of missiles from the beginning, never hit the targets any of the missiles. At the same time, it's bad simulated the radar mode, IRL to launch ARH missiles to more than one target, the radar doesn't need to LOCK on one of the aircrafts (as is now in the game), in fact the radar use the same principle of the F-15 TWS, making a volumetric continue scan in a narrow width of about 30 degrees in the direction of the radar.
