Whoa , now that looks very interesting!

I too like the thought of the switches - not sure about using it for moving the joystick... but very interesting.

yeah the switch interaction looks great, but I would really want a glove for my left hand. From what I can tell this is right hand only?

$250 retail / $160 kickstarter (per glove)

It strikes me as very odd that they are going to run a kickstarter so close to their planned retail launch.

This old thing? It's my work glove. Had it for years. I'm starting to get blisters so I thought I'd drag these gloves out. You know, if you took just a little bit of interest in *my* hobbies, you may have noticed it sooner....

Hum, it looks like all this glove is doing is acting as a mouse click for using the switches. By positioning the mouse pointer in the middle of your view you can achieve the same thing effectively by binding a joystick button to left mouse (which if you've not done already get on the case)

Additionally, the IMU tracking for the hand positioning for using the joystick must be the single worst thing I can imagine.

If you want to try it today, pick up a leap motion for £25 second hand and try "FlyInside" for Prepar3D of FSX. Using this actually has full 3D positional hand tracking and overlay in game so you can get a feel for how bad this kind of thing works with no real haptic feedback.

I want to see a video of the setup process, as in every option on the setup screens. Has anyone found a video of the setup process?

I like the look of this - you guys are just so lucky!

I struggle to lift my arms above shoulder height, so I won't be able to use it.

I knew that all the really good kit would come out just as I was getting incapable of using it!

Still, be good for fighters etc.

How does the tracking works? It doesnt use sensors from Rift or the Lighthouse from Vive... Does it just use motion tracking and some gyro sensor to determine their movements?

I rather wait for a glove for my rift or the better implementation of the Touch controllers.

Captoglove has gone to kickstarter

looks like it will retail around $250 which is high in my opinion, but the functionality of the glove looks great. I will consider it once it goes to retail

Correct me if I'm wrong, but judging from the video these look pretty useless.

I'm certainly not going to fly in DCS using just my hands. I'm sure we can all agree that a HOTAS is a much better and more realistic solution for that.

What most of us will want VR gloves for is to interact with the cockpit switches and dials. These gloves don't seem to offer that however. The guy in the video is using the DCS VR mouse look feature and is merely activating the switches with a finger movement the glove.

Good VR gloves for DCS would need to allow hand movement independent of head movement and HOTAS controls.

you do not have to use it to fly, it can be setup to tailor your needs.

I am guessing, but if it can be setup to control axis it should be able to control mouse movement also?

The only reason I would use it is to interact with switches, I do not even have VR yet :)

And not to mention the looks/comments going forward from the neighbors or anyone that happens to catch a glance of you in flight would garner you.

Looks like a hyped product which will disapoint so many.

As long as there won't be support to track with rift / vive hardware, it will just be a way to mouseclick (which could be assigned to a HOTAS as well). And a 250$ glove just to mouseclick is a bit overkill.

Sure, it will be able to move a mousepointer... but whats the point? It will never be there where you would naturally reach for.

And until ED introduces the use of those floating hands with Rift Touch, HTC Vive Controllers I doubt we will have a usable system. When they push out those function, we can start hoping for VR tracked gloves.

I think it has more potential, I would use it for mouse click interaction with a left hand glove, no more using my right hand to use the mouse would be great. The price is my only concern, but I hope they do well
